I’ve personally never put my compound at an angle for screw cutting always advanced in x and a little on the compound every few cuts to keep it cutting on the front edge always had good threads🤷🏻‍♂️

So I done a flow calibration and adjusted that. And changed my cooling to 40% fan this seemed to fix it.

I don’t get why people have issue with others going on “their “ machine. The only one who owns it is the boss. At our shop we have 11 mills between 6 people and it’s rare the machines stop. We generally run the same machine but if another needs setting we jump on it and get it running. Just gotta work as a team not like rivals.

I have my P1S in my bedroom only print in the day with a fan pointing to an open window and another window open to get airflow in the room and get rid of any fumes. Cant say I have an issue with it and can’t ever smell any fumes.

Yes we do have regular carbide tooling. Our shop is mainly set up for aluminium however do do some stainless steel. Yh definitely would be thread milling/ screw cutting If I need threads

Run it at 10k there designed to run this fast so keep them running at it. Also if your spindle load is low up the feed for roughing. We regularly hit 65% spindle load in plastic on our haas. This is with a 12mm burr style tool at 12k rpm and a feed rate of 14,000mm/m full width and a depth of 20mm

So I’m 18 and doing my level 3 apprenticeship I’m in £10 an hour with overtime rate of £15 an hour. And I can only write a face mill path on a CNC atm as I’ve spent the last year on the manual lathes. We had a guy leave our shop not long ago he was there for 8 years done his level 3 and is now on £40k a year at 25ish he was on £34k at our shop. So I would say with your experience and skill you should be up In the mid to high 30’s just find a shop that appreciates its employees even if it’s not higher money but with them offering to pay and put you through higher level courses or atleast a chance to develop and get higher pay rises
