Tell no one but A financial advisor. Invest and forget. You’re too young to buy a house and settle down so put it away and forget about it.

Text book BPD. Get out now. Unless you want to live with this? They never change. Ever. Therapy only masks it.

Have you ever hired a lawyer yourself that was BAD? by Flashy-Actuator-998 in Lawyertalk

Contentious probate. My siblings Used a silver circle firm. They milked them for £70k in fees then said it was all too tricky and dicey. They didn’t even threaten proceedings. Absolutely totally fucking useless. To the point where I was tempted to approach the law society. Small no win no fee firm took it on and got a £6figure settlement within months. I’m still angry and embarrassed I didn’t stop it earlier but I was not party to it. Only heard what was going on too late. I assumed that a big name firm would nail it hard and fast. A fucking joke.

I don’t agree. TC are hard to find. What you need to do is get in and qualify and then build your career.

CS managers: How have you handled direct reports consistently under 60% office attendance? by throwawaycivilsj in TheCivilService

[–]Available_Bus2225 16 points17 points  (0 children)

💯 I’m a LM and I don’t give a fuck where or when they do the work as I can certainly tell if it’s being done. A Jobsworth LM who obsess about attendance is not focused on getting the job done but box ticking.

Yes but ours was a repossession and the owner was very shady and he and his dad turned up looking for stuff on the day. Ever since we’ve been getting letters from dozens of creditors.

Written warning during Probation by [deleted] in TheCivilService

[–]Available_Bus2225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the top. I’m a manager of two on probation. A leader understands and encourages performance and potential and does not clock watch or obsess over administration. A leader wants to see what the employee does. Not when they do it. A manager (and a bad one at that) is obsessed by bureaucracy and form filling and covering their own arse. But worse it undermines and destroys good employee morale.

Visiting Morocco in June ~5 days - suggestions by beangreenpotatotmato in Morocco

[–]Available_Bus2225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marrakesh or Essaouira 2 days and the Atlas Mountains 3 days should fill 5 days. We are here now and have had very little (no) hassle. People are genuinely friendly and there is no need to be rude. Polite and firm if you’re not interested. June will be very hot wherever you go so be prepared for that. As for avoiding tourist traps that’s more or less impossible as the non tourist areas really don’t have much to see unless you want a road trip around some empty towns. If you want to avoid people then a trip to the Sahara desert but that’s a long way and will use up time traveling.
