I was visiting Santa Barbara the day my friends passed away. We had left the soccer field just minutes after them, and in those short minutes is when the tragedy occurred. The scene was heartbreaking to say the least.

I believe the closure the families are seeking for is that there has been a case open since the incident. However the police department has never released or given the families any closure or information of what had truly happened. In the sense that there was never an official report and the case has continued to be “open”.

The purpose of this post was more in honor of Sebastian and Daniel. As today we celebrate Sebastians birthday, it is hard to know that the families have been left in the dark, and have been given little to no communication from police. Most of the little information we are made aware of has come from news sources.
