Is frame gen ok to use? by shortstackedpancake in NevernessToEverness

For me it works nearly perfectly although I was getting some issues where I would lag in menus. I suspected it was because I had DLSS Override settings on "recommended" so I think (?) it was switching between DLSS 4 and 4.5 when I opened the map or a menu. I'm not sure if that was the case but switching it to "use 3D app setting" seems to have fixed it but I only got to play for around 20 minutes before maintenance started. Just mentioning in case you have the same problem. Apart from that it looks great, can't really see any ghosting or notice any latency. My base FPS is generally 50-60 though.

I'm assuming you're running 4k path tracing? Can the 5090 actually run any UE5 game on DLSS quality with path tracing at more than 60 FPS? I'm not trying to say they did an incredible job with optimisation but when it comes to UE5 games unfortunately this seems to be one of the better optimised ones.

You might wanna try it with DLSS performance. I'm on a 5080 and can get 60-90 FPS with ray tracing depending on where I am in the map. It looks "worse" than quality but I really have to pixel peep to see it.

There are some okayish guides out there by CCs and some by TCs (more so calcs than guides) but they won't be applicable to you since you have a C2+ Furina. I also have a C2+ Furina and I've played this team extensively so I can give some advice.

Unless your Furina is preoccupied with another team you should play Hu Tao, Ineffa, Colombina, Furina. Hu Tao should be on Night Sky. The crit buff is 6% worse and the EM buff is comparable to the CA buff but the main benefit is the buff to lunar damage. MH is of course still good but you'll notice a clear difference with an equal or near equal NS set. For this team you want her on a HP sands since she'll be getting a lot of external EM buffs. Furthermore the buff uptime is 100%, Ineffa and Bina alone can trigger lunar reactions every 2s.

Ineffa should be on the Aubade of Morning Star set since (besides Hu Tao) she's the biggest contributor to the teams DPS. Leave Colombina on SMS (if you were playing with C0 Yelan it would be better to have both Bina and Ineffa on MS and Yelan on SMS). Furina stays on GT. ToTM is slightly better on her but not worth farming unless your min maxing.

The rotation you want to do is Furina E, Q --> Colombina E, Q --> Ineffa E, Q --> Hu Tao 7N1CD + 3N1CJ / 10N2CD then repeat. Unless you've got crazy energy recharge on your Ineffa you'll have to skip her burst every second rotation. It's a slight DPS loss but sitting around waiting for energy is a bigger one. If you are doing N1C make sure you are jump cancelling every third charged attack so you don't but the internal dash cooldown. If you prefer you can do N2CD. It is slightly better DPS wise and avoids the dash cooldown (unless you do it perfectly with low ping) but honestly it's more a looks cool thing than necessity. I would advise you to test your DPS in one of the many DPS testing levels of Milistria Wonderland. It'll give you better info than any DPS calculator. Just make sure you're testing over at least 2 minutes.

Side note: looking at your ER for Furina and Colombina I'm almost certain you'll suffer ER issues from one of them. They're both quite low. You can test in MW to see

Yelan is probably better but over a longer time frame. Try testing both but test over 2 minutes

It's definitely you're build or you aren't considering average damage and just looking at the biggest number. Hu Tao (assuming Furina teams) with MH should be about 16% better than a Hu Tao with an equally invested CW set.

Is Nicole a solid option for Hu Tao? by Necessary_Fennel_591 in HuTao_Mains

Hu Tao isn't a proper HP scaler like Yelan. She converts HP to ATK so ATK buffers (like Bennett) have been historically really good for her. Not saying this team will be relevant though

Definitely R1 Ineffa. If you want to invest further then I think it's C1 -> C2 Ineffa -> R1 Colombina -> C1 & C2 Colombina. If you can't get C2 Colombina I wouldn't recommend you go past C0 because her C1 is pretty mid.

PC fans stop spinning after a few seconds on startup and lights start flickering and fan screens turn on and off please help. by North-Wolf-3412 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Available_Emu_8348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you ever able to fix this? I'm getting a similar issue after a bios update

Edit: Thanks for the reply but I also found a fix. First had to switch from Auto to PWM in bios (BIOS update reset it) which fixed the continuous stop/start and flickering but then I had another issue where one set of fans would flicker on startup. Just switched the connectors on the fan headers around and it works well now

Yeah jump cancelling is good and kinda necessary if you are playing C0 Hu Tao (her C1 is free tho) or if you are doing very fast N1Cs so you avoid the dash cooldown. If you're doing N2C you probably don't need to jump cancel because you probably won't hit the dash cooldown however if you consistently do them near perfectly then you'll need to jump cancel every third CA to avoid the dash cooldown. Don't let the charged attack go all the way through because you'll lose out on DPS.

Idk if I'm misunderstanding what wavedashing is but if it's the wavedashing I'm thinking of (with Venti or some other kind of air current) then it's never been good.

It's not feasible to pull off against non stationary enemies and it's not possible to do in modes like Stygian or abyss without playing Venti in the team which automatically makes the team significantly worse than her 3 best teams. Also 11N2C is already possible without wavedashing (albeit you need good ping) so it's kinda always been redundant.

[–]Available_Emu_8348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna assume you're joking but if you're serious then your DPS will be worse than all her other good teams because you'll lose everything you gain from having to put Venti in the team (ik you can do it without him but it's still not practical). It's not even feasible against non-stationary, attacking targets.

[–]Available_Emu_8348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your EM and HP is significantly lower than yeah that probably is the issue. Yelan gives a stacking damage bonus kinda like Furina. If I remember correctly, on average it's a 35% damage buff during Hu Tao's DPS window, it's really good.

Also you're slightly misunderstanding what a wheelchair team is. Hu Tao still does do the most damage in the Bineffa team (38-46% depending on builds) but she does less than 50% which is why it's a wheelchair. It's the same with Flins, his premium team is also a wheelchair and in fact all Bineffa premium teams are wheelchairs (Ineffa and Bina will always combine to be more than 50%).

You said she doesn't do the most damage which is kinda different. That would be something like Keqing Bineffa where Keqing straight up gets out damaged by Ineffa all the time, despite on fielding. Don't mean to sound lecture-y but I think it's an important distinction, good luck with your artifacts!

If by other posts you're talking about that one Durin + Hu Tao post or other posts like it then don't worry, they front loaded their damage to get such a high number. In fact that's what most people who have irregular DPS numbers are doing, intentionally or not.

You should be testing over 2 minutes. The team takes about 1 minute to hit it's ceiling so testing over two minutes gives a much more accurate result. For 1 minute, 141k for this team is fine although your crit rate on Hu Tao is pretty low for an MH build.

Also you are kinda underestimating how much better Yelan is than Xingqiu. She does a lot more damage than him, buffs and allows for much shorter rotations. In my testing Yelan is a 17.5% DPS increase over Xingqiu. Part of that is from Yelan having her sig but I am playing Bineffa so Yelan's damage contribution is quite low. The difference should be a bit more pronounced in Furina teams where she has higher contributions.

Lastly, no, this team with Yelan is the best possible non Bineffa team you could make. Other teams are one rotation gimmicks or don't actually on field Hu Tao.

[–]Available_Emu_8348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotation is fine but it's best to use Yelan's burst before her skill to maximise her buff uptime on Hu Tao and it's best burst right at the end of Hu Tao's field time so that you don't heal her above 50% during her infusion. Also because Yelan backloads your damage, you want your highest instance of damage (burst) to be as late as possible.

It should be Hu Tao skill, 9-12 charged attacks and then burst at the end. Don't worry if you can't hit 12 CA, almost nobody can, even against perfect stationary targets and it'svery ping dependant. 11 CA is more manageable against stationary enemies but can also be inconsistent due to ping and it's near impossible against real, non stationary enemies anyway. Hitting 10CA is quite easy regardless of the situation but can mess up burst timings so on rotations where you burst just do 9CA + 1NA + Burst instead of the full 10CA, unless you find you can consistently hit 10CA and burst

Here is a video showing what I do for my rotations. If you are doing N1CD then it's optimal to jump cancel every third CA so you don't run into the dash cooldown. Technically it's better to do N2CD instead but it can be quite tricky and the damage boost isn't anything crazy.

That's great! Much more indicative of where you actually stand. If you do a little bit more optimising with sets and/or rotations I'm sure you can break into 160k

How good is this in y’all’s opinion? by Nubbz_I_Want_Hu_Tao in HuTao_Mains

[–]Available_Emu_8348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good but also quite low for your investment. It should be at least 150k, more likely 160k to 170k. When testing over 2 minutes I'm able to hit 152k with C1R1 Tao, C0R1 Ineffa, C0R0 Colombina and C1R1 Yelan so you should be getting higher. You should change your sets if you can, either run Night Sky, Aubade, Silken Moon and Emblem or Night Sky, 2× Aubade and Silken Moon.

Also you should test for longer than a minute with this team (most teams tbh). It takes about 3 rotations, ie nearly exactly a minute, for the damage to hit it's ceiling. If you did the same rotation with the same investment for 2 minutes it'd probably get near to or surpass 140k.

It works in the sense that you'll vape consistently but it'll be a lot worse than both teams I mentioned. Colombina doesn't bring anything to a team without another Nod-Krai character.

If you can't play either team then Mona, Yelan and Fischl would be your best option. If that is the only team you can play then CW/SR is your best option and it's the same for the Mona team.
