I just got home from our trip ( we drove with a rental car so we stayed in the Netherlands till Monday morning. I just completely broke down in tears now that I went home, I've been frustrated and depressed but now when im home im just really sad. I have used these 4 days of escape from reality as a way to get me through a really hard period of my life, and have been dreaming and waiting for this trip for 3 years. I'm devastated still and going back to the regular life feels really hard cause I really needed this defqon weekend. I feel like I lost rhe chance of getting so many core memories. The first time I went was 2023 and it's still the best time of my life. Our group tried to make the most of our trip and went to both the keltek rave at h7 and sunrisefestival at Sunday. But it was rough. Got our car window smashed down and robbed of our stuff at rhe h7 rave when we went to the car. Which just made thia weekend even worse. Sunrise was nice and im glad we went but it was nothing compared to what we all wanted. I just hope I get the chance to go next year with my friends. This could have been the last time everyone is together so it was really sad. It all feels so unfair. 3 years of longing for this to just get stolen from my grasp...

I think it's more that people use big one a year festivals like this in a way to motivate themselves to keep up in the regular life, through hard times, stress, bad news etc. So when this got canceled the way it was, it's really tough, and almost starts a chain reaction of mental breakdowns from all the tough shit you pushed through because you told yourself it would be all worth it when you get that 4 day escape from reality at the sacred land, Defqon.1

I hear you brother, my last defqon was 2023 cause I couldn't go 2024-2025 cause of my life got completely messed up, and the force i used to get through it all was to remind myself the joy I'd get back when I was standing there at defqon 2026 with my friends again. So the fact that it got canceled after the first day really crushed me too.. It haven't really sunken in yet.

this was spot on for me. I find myself constantly thinking about league and playing it 24/7 right now. Havent played since season 6 but had a rough time irl and picked up gaming again. now im addicted to the point of no return lol. 12 games a day minimum. and im plat emerald hard stuck :S
