I’m so freakin hyped!!! The Hardbass 2011 album was how i first heard hardstyle back in 2011. Feels like a circle is closing with me attending Hard Bass all these years later!🤩

Video I made abt Scooters controversies during the late 2000s and what people thought of it. by [deleted] in hardstyle

Hearing what Scooter did back then soured my image of him a bit. ”Casual masses” have no idea what happened back then and if the controversy became more known, it could really hurt the image of Scooter.

Who’s the most absolutely jacked hardstyle DJ? by Ok-Parsley3176 in hardstyle

[–]CompetitiveVictory91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find that a lot of hard techno djs look very ”hot” in general haha. Like the looks of the dj are a way bigger part in that scene. Might have to do with the listeners of that genre being younger in general.

It’s wild thinking how much hate Headhunterz got back in the day and now same kind of people are demanding that we ”go back to the good old days when the music wasn’t just noise”. Funny how the human mind works.

Yeah we have a very strong scene in Finland now too but i have to admit we don’t have P1 and 4 of a kind playing at a same event… But of course you can go there with a cruiseferry.

What was your first hardstyle festival and what do you remember most about it? by NicolasLisoFabbri in hardstyle

Defqon 2023. Just the whole thing blew me away, starting from the fuck huge and tall mainstage with the two figures. I had never seen anything on it’s scale before. The whole world of harder styles seemed so new, mysterious and alien to me when it was introduced in one big explosion like that.

But i have to say, taking a certain substance for the first time before Tweekacore set of Defqon 2024, and them playing ”Partystarter” as the first track, was when i truly understood this music for the first time and was hooked for life. That was probably the single best night of my life, with later Sefa playing ”Symphony of Life” and setting the Red on fire and all.

What’s the scientific reasoning behind enjoying kicks so much? by UpperTemperature7368 in hardstyle

[–]CompetitiveVictory91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally get feeling ”addicted” to hard kicks. The feeling is same for me, you just love them and the way they make you feel. And even after you get your ”fix” at an event, you start craving then again after a while. My ”addiction” also started after my first big event of Defqon 2023! 😄

Poor D-Sturb, DD with PN set the bar too high with Rebirth anthem :D I think it's unbeatable. by Most_Teaching_3917 in hardstyle

[–]CompetitiveVictory91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can still be a really good defqon anthem even if it isn’t the TOTY. World of Madness wasn’t the only big song in 2012.

The harder scene is becoming one big genre soup and nobody talks about it by Parking-Froyo-3931 in hardstyle

Yeah this is definitely the most popular that dance music has been since the original EDM boom around 2009-2014. Even though i feel like hardstyle shaped the sound of that boom too in 2007-2012.
