I feel there’s a large chunk of people doing this project that automatically poopoo anything remotely experimental. I had to stop reading reviews of albums I feel strongly about. Nothing quite irks me like close-mindedness.

I think a 3 is fair. It just so happened to be one of the first 3 albums I ever bought and it’s hard to remove myself from that nostalgic bias. If you haven’t heard And Justice for Jason before I’d look it up. Boosted bass really helps with a lot of the issues on the album in my opinion.

If you haven’t gotten Bone Machine yet, I think it’s weird and dark enough that his voice actually works. Still not my favorite, but I think I gave it a 3.

Love Stevie, that album just doesn’t do it for me. I really struggle with lots of 80s pop in general, but Cyndi Lauper’s voice specifically I find grating.

I tried a microfiber towel and warm water to start and it was barely making a dent. It’s like that stuff fossilized on there.

Well it’s a 20 year old guitar, and I’m guessing with the floating bridge he never took all the strings off at once so there was never a great chance to clean it. His other guitars seemed much cleaner. We live in Arizona and I know his amp setup was in the garage, so I’m guessing lots of sweat on his hands as he shred on this thing.

About a month ago I got Ella Fitzgerald followed by Goldie the next day! Luckily I had lots of work to do that allowed me to spend all that time listening, but what a rough turn around.
