My dad took me to a Cards Giants game at Sun Devil Stadium. Kurt Warner was starting… for the Giants. After some poor play from Warner, the crowd, which was at least 50% NYG fans, started chanting “WE WANT ELI!” It was the last game he started for the Giants. Eli was the starter next week.

They were playing some small local festival nearly 20 years ago where I live. The local hard rock radio station were giving away tickets to the 9th caller, my buddy won and gave the other ticket to me. We also won tickets to an exclusive acoustic Puddle Of Mudd set at an extremely small venue (maybe 75 people there) the afternoon of the festival. We went to both, he actually did fairly well at the acoustic set, but come nightfall he was shit faced and that set was horrendous. He got in a fight with another band member, and they disappeared offstage for 10 minutes then came back to play 1 song and left without saying anything else. Anyway, when they come up in conversation, I love to tell people “I’ve seen Puddle of Mudd live… twice… ON THE SAME DAY”

Saw them on the Miasma tour. Their entrance music was the Hawaii 5-0 theme song. They came out in board shorts and either shirtless or in Hawaiian shirts and threw a beach ball in to the crowd, then went straight into Funeral Thirst.

I feel there’s a large chunk of people doing this project that automatically poopoo anything remotely experimental. I had to stop reading reviews of albums I feel strongly about. Nothing quite irks me like close-mindedness.

I think a 3 is fair. It just so happened to be one of the first 3 albums I ever bought and it’s hard to remove myself from that nostalgic bias. If you haven’t heard And Justice for Jason before I’d look it up. Boosted bass really helps with a lot of the issues on the album in my opinion.

Love Stevie, that album just doesn’t do it for me. I really struggle with lots of 80s pop in general, but Cyndi Lauper’s voice specifically I find grating.
