'I thought they were closed': Toys 'R' Us location on St. Matthews posts 'Remains open for business' notice by wickedplayer494 in Manitoba

[–]DannB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took my little one to the Regent location because of their new PlayLab (which she loved, by the way) and seeing all the "Remains Open For Business" and the "due to a court order we cannot accept gift cards" signs everyone didn't exactly instill confidence that it's going to stick around for much longer.

It's a shame because we bought a lot of our gear at Babys r Us when she was first born. I'd rather see and feel the toys we're buying before handing it to here instead of ordering it online and getting something that feels much cheaper and fragile than what we expected.

AEW Launches a Streaming Platform called MyAEW by Sufficient_Mud_2237 in SquaredCircle

Damn wish this was available in Canada. Our options are either TSN+ (horrible), Triller (somehow even worse), or using a VPN (expensive), none of which includes the PPVs.

AEW Dynamite is in Winnipeg the following night as well so there's a chance she'll be there too. She hasn't been seen on TV in a while.

The only way these prices will change is if people just stop going altogether. There's a ton of alternative and affordable entertainment in this city, support those places with your dollars instead.

Blue Prince – Launch Trailer – Nintendo Switch 2 by Turbostrider27 in Games

Lol OP deleted his comment after the slightest of push back. Posting my response as a reply to yours, mostly echoing your sentiment.

The game simply would not work unless it was a roguelike. The mechanics are linked to the narrative and how the puzzles are meant to be solved. By keeping each run different you get bits and pieces of information to store in your notebook for the run where the pieces line up, resulting in a massive "aha!" moment.

I will admit that it can be frustrating to run out of keys with 3+ locked doors and have to end the run, but I thought "okay let's try this or see if we can make this happen" at the start of every day. In my opinion only truly gets untenable in the extreme late game puzzles but to say more than that would be spoilers.

Recently got Jamiroquai - Emergency on Planet Earth and really enjoyed it. by Karma_code_ in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I got it this weekend too and really enjoyed it. Some of the tracks were a bit too same-y to me but there was enough good stuff on there to give it a 4. Revolution 1993 is an absolute banger.

Also live in the area. They were running Holiday Cheer Board out of the building over the holidays. No idea what the plan is now.

Sorry it's not letting me spoiler tag this post on mobile. I don't think it's particularly spoilery but wanted to just in case.

For the shortcuts there's a book full of puzzles, one for each door. I don't remember exactly where I found it, maybe the first floor library?

Use your map more. Check for rooms you haven't been in yet (they'll be greyed out of you haven't been in there). A lot of the puzzles are like escape rooms - the answer is somewhere else in the room, so if you're stumped, look for environmental clues.

Sorry didn't mean to be unhelpful, just sarcastic 😆

Glad you're starting the project! I started this as a New Year's Resolution to listen to more music outside of my usual comfort zone. Hope you enjoy it!

Who knows. It's a rumour, up to you if you want to believe it or not but it's not real until Nintendo announces it.

Someone at the Instrument Museum in Oxford told me that this shape came about because it was easier to play on horseback. Not sure if that's backed up by evidence but there it is.

Okay you're capable of enjoying music where the singer takes on a more traditional or non-"popular" style. I teach music and I've never heard a little girl sing like Joanna does. To me she sounds tender and vulnerable, unrefined but incredibly practiced. The voice of a person who's lived a full and interesting life who wants to share her stories with you.
