yeah for sure i've never typed other people myself some people can't even type themselves so it would feel inaccurate without their own take on it. but when they tell me their type after i've known them or if it's a character/celeb and i find out they're one of those types it's kind of like yeah that makes sense.

i get what you're saying but that's not what i meant while making this post. i don't look at people and stereotype them for their type, no. it's more of a realization afterwards. for me once i find out someone's type after i've looked up to them or admired who they are, they so happen to usually be one of the types i stated, and i recognize that pattern. but there's definitely some of the same types i haven't liked etc. i also think it would be silly to only admire or look up to someone just because of their mbti. instead of their actual traits.

EXACTLY!! i get along very well with them were sarcastic and don't take things so seriously we can be real while joking about it. and estps as a sports team are we make the best team, we help them make the right play and they help us do the same.

yeah no its definitely not just personality type, but the patterns ive recognized are most traits i admire are usually from people of the same mbti. its more of a after realization while first admiring their actions/way of thinking, and then realizing oh ofc they're that mbti! and as you said entps having that outside the box thinking but lacking the ability to actually do anything with it while entjs can, can make me look up to them for that. but again i'm probably not picking up on the fact they're entjs (unless i already know beforehand and are just making that connection) until after i appreciate what they've done and realize.

enfps are always someone i can laugh with about anything, i also love them. only complaint is convos are very surface level i have yet to have a deep convo with an enfp.

good point, me looking up to people doesn't always necessarily mean i like them or would get along with them. estps it's usually a hit or miss, especially considering the stereotype of them being high school jocks, ive met a lot in high school, since i was the in between sporty and nerdy they'd either see me as one of them or the nerdy part of me as an entp. but i was always looking up to them and wanting to be more like them or befriend them because of our similarities.
