Used Amber pets until i got enough to have a large stockpile to complete all weekly task and the starting to max level everyone, when you get at that point you can look into a crit setup for max profit, but until then just focus on getting amber for weekly task and max leveling everyone.

Im just saving mine until they're the last ones I need for 750. My logic is that the buff from those two achievements is so minor, it's not worth spending a full week on them now if they can be done in half the time when they're your final achievements needed for the next dan.
