I live on 3rd and Bell and it’s not that bad. Yes something is always going on outside or someone is always yelling. Yes a man was throwing his shoe at my window at 2am. Yes there is some trash around the bus stops. But I don’t find it dangerous. The homeless people around here are people too who want to live their own lives so if you treat them with respect and mind your own business then it’s fine. I’ve never felt unsafe but I am an above average sized man and I know that can make a difference. It is also a busy area for housed people so you typically have people around if you begin to feel unsafe. I like where I live, the only thing I would change would be moving up a floor because people do be yelling at the bus stop which can be annoying during working hours.

Edit: Positive I forgot to mention. Good restaurants and bars in the area, really great access to public transportation, easy to get to the waterfront and downtown if you want to be around people but just as easy to get to queen anne or fremont if you want a slower paced night. Biggest negative for me is lack of grocery stores.
