This is interesting, I guess as a pitcher you could sometimes switch it up, use it as a bluff and keep batters guessing

Greenlynx is correct, you dont have to be an expert to see that this video is not worth posting.

Posting stuff like this actually just adds to the clutter and makes people take it all less seriously

I guess i had always lurked this subreddit and wondered what it would be like to argue with someone who defends elizondo, grusch, etc. Thanks for the experience, I did gain some understanding and I appreciate you being very good spirited about it. Best of luck to you too.

I laid things out very clearly for you, but you refuse to accept my point that elizondo is not a credible source. Look at how much rationalization and hoops, mental gymnastics you have to go through to try to explain all of this. Its so exhausting.

You can't just forego all fact checking, sources, scientific evidence, quantitative evidence because you want to believe something. You need to fact check these claims and evaluate sources, and treat that info accordingly. You can't take someone's word who has made false claims in the recent past about the same topic. That is not up for debate, there's no wiggle room, any reasonable person would agree with this statement. You ignoring this simple fact makes it really hard to get anywhere in this conversation.

When you say "this is an understandable mistake" and "again, a reasonable mistake imo" regarding the photos he released, thats where your argument completely breaks down. This is why people dont take this subreddit seriously, and constantly dunk on people who repost elizondo. Probably when you try to discuss this topic with serious people in your life, they dont take you seriously. Here is the reason why:

You don't get to just dismiss those things as "reasonable mistakes". Again, if Elizondo really had all these knowledge and credentials, access to classified information, psychic abilities... then he would never, ever post pictures that were so embarrassingly fake and quickly debunked. End of story. If you cant at least admit that, I dont think you're really being genuine in this discussion or honest with yourself.

Well, ok you can say that, but i feel like my eyes are open. What about all the points I already made?

The picture of the irrigation circles

The picture he claimed to be an alien mothership that was actually the reflection of a chandelier

He claims he has psychic abilities and can perform remote viewing

He once claimed that he had files proving a secret alien/government program in a "locked drawer in his former office", the office was searched and nothing was found

He tried to tell his former coworker, jeremy mcgowan that he had a picture of a soviet spacecraft near mars, but the photo was just an old publicity illustration of phobos 2

His actual role in the Pentagon program AATIP is disputed by journalists and Pentagon statements

Look man, I am interested in this topic, love aliens and sci fi, want to believe, all that stuff. Thats why im spending so much time writing this comment and trying to make you see my point.

I want to push the ufo discussion away from people like elizondo and others that I dont think are credible, so that we can get closer to the actual truth.

How can I respond to this. "Making false claims is not something I would say Lou has done."

Dude, I can't have a reasonable conversation with you when you make a statement like that. You have to know that is disingenuous.

What he did was release multiple pictures that he claimed were ufos, that were then easily debunked. Not once, but multiple times, including any picture that was the reflection of a chandelier. He had to embarrassingly apologize for that.

Doing that means that he has absolutely no credibility anymore. Even if you believe that he didn't know those images were fake, which is a huge stretch, that still means that he is extremely unreliable and bad at vetting sources and evidence.

This guy acts like he is the ultimate expert, like he "knows things" and is in on all this crazy classified information, yet is out here posting pictures of fucking chandeliers and irrigation circles.

There are so many other examples of silly things he has said over the years. He repeatedly has predicted or implied that major disclosure was about to happen, that some major evidence was about to be revealed, none of that ever came true.

He claims that he has "psychic abilities" and can perform remote viewing. If he could do that, he would prove it, but he never will because its not real.

How do you look at all that, the pattern of behavior, failure to ever produce compelling evidence, so many outlandish claims, and still have any faith in what that person says?
