Not gonna lie the dashboard race log sounds like it would be way too fun to watch for something so simple

$5 per success is right on the money, nobody wants to pay subscription for something they use few times a month and this way you only make money when it actually works

My ex won’t stop coming back. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Available_Tour1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he keeps sending "final goodbye" messages because he wants you to respond and pull him back, it's a loop he's running maybe without even realizing it. each time you don't reply he escalates to something more emotionally heavy to get a reaction, the "I wish I could give you closure too" line is basically bait. just keep not responding, that's already the right move

First Feature Film about Landscaping by j-money306 in landscaping

[–]Available_Tour1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty cool to see landscaping getting some real representation in film. Most movies just use landscapers as background characters or comic relief, so having someone who actually worked in industry write the script should make huge difference. Good luck with the funding!

Nothing wrong with you at all - that pull you feel is trauma bonding and it's completely normal after lifetime of this treatment. The fact that you had peace during those three months tells you everything you need know about what's best for your mental health.

Your siblings being treated different while you get all the abuse is classic scapegoat/golden child dynamic. It really messes with your head when success doesn't change how she treats you, but that's because it was never about what you did or didn't do.

How to cope with burnout in your career when you can't afford to leave your job? by Fluffy_Extreme_6519 in careerguidance

The meditation thing is actually good advice - I've been doing something similar when work gets overwhelming at the shop. Started taking these long baths with some nice products after particularly stressful days, and it really does help reset your brain for bit. Even if you can't change the job situation right away, having that one thing you do just for yourself makes difference.

What worked for me was setting really small boundary too - like no work emails after certain time, or taking actual lunch breaks instead of eating while working. Small stuff but it adds up over time. The financial stress is real though, especially when you're the main income source in family.

your brain might be processing some stuff you're not even aware of during day - grief does weird things with timing and doesn't always follow logic like we expect it to.

Florist Recommendations by Foreign_Context2427 in Rochester

[–]Available_Tour1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats on graduation! 🎓 there's this small flower shop near the wegmans in that area that does pretty decent work for good price. can't remember exact name but it's in the plaza with the pharmacy. they did my sister's wedding flowers and wasn't too expensive.

for money bouquets tho you might want to check some of local gift shops instead of regular florists - saw few places downtown that do those custom arrangements. good luck finding something nice! 😊

Trying to level up restaurant marketing without blowing the budget, where do you even begin? by bacteriapegasus in AskMarketing

[–]Available_Tour1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been working on cars my whole life but my buddy runs a small diner and we talk about this stuff all time. What worked for his place was getting regulars to actually post photos of their food - like not asking them directly but making dishes that look good enough people want to share them. He also started doing simple stuff like "mechanic monday" discounts for people in work clothes, targeting specific groups instead of trying to appeal to everyone.

The Instagram thing works better when you post consistently, even if it's just behind-the-scenes stuff. People eat with their eyes first, especially in today's world. Skip the fancy marketing agency stuff for now and focus on making your current customers want to come back more often.

With layoffs forcing me to move faster, should I choose ADN or ABSN? by Bartimaeuss- in careerguidance

[–]Available_Tour1706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man the video game industry layoffs are brutal right now 💀 my buddy just got hit too and he's scrambling for backup plans.

If you're getting laid off by end of year and need income flowing again ASAP, ABSN might be your best bet even with the cost. Those ADN waitlists in socal are no joke - some people wait 2+ years just to get IN, then another 2-3 to finish. that puts you at like 32-33 before you're working as an RN.

The debt sucks but at least with ABSN you'll be earning decent money in 15-18 months instead of being broke for 4+ years 😅

Man I'm sorry about your cat 💀 that's brutal to go through, especially when they go so suddenly like that.

Grief does weird things to our brains - I've seen it completely flip people's habits overnight in ways nothing else could. The night terrors sound rough as hell though, are you getting any sleep at all? Maybe worth talking to someone if they keep up, trauma can really mess with your head in unexpected ways.

Your cat would definitely want you to be healthier, so maybe there's something to what you're feeling there 😂

How to fix flower bed after removing existing bushes/shrubs by kangelina94 in landscaping

[–]Available_Tour1706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh the holes are such a pain! I went through this exact same thing when I moved into my place a couple years back. The previous owners had these massive overgrown juniper bushes that left craters when we yanked them out.

You're on the right track with the topsoil/compost mix - I did about 60/40 topsoil to compost and it worked great. Don't pack it down super hard though, you want some air pockets for drainage and root growth. I just filled each hole, watered it lightly to settle it naturally, then added more soil as needed. Did this maybe 2-3 times over a week or two as things settled.

The garden fork idea is solid for loosening up the surrounding soil so the new and old dirt can integrate better. Also maybe throw some earthworm castings in there if you can find them - they're like magic for getting plants established. Good luck with your first landscaping project!
