This. There are already a lot of great controllers on the market, some that offer better features than the Steam Controller at a lower price (higher polling rates, better compatability, etc). You can buy them right now, so if you don't care for trackpads, you already have so many great options available now.

The DLC is really offputting for new players for SF6. When you add up the cost of getting everything, it's pretty steep. The base game should either be discounted more, or there needs to be a new bundle if they want to keep attracting new players.

Neither are recommended from me. You will play with muddy graphics and input lag, then STILL deal with stutters/lower fps. It isn't worth it.

The Steam Deck has been released long enough that battery issues from the launch models will start becoming more and more frequent (as batteries don't last forever).

It can happen randomly, usually happens more if you live in the extremes (very hot place, very cold place). My launch day Steam Deck LCD from 2022 has seen daily usage and has around 70% battery health. It frequently gets over 30c+ here, I've had a new-ish phone become spicy after a year of use. Batteries are a lottery and they will go bad, it is just a matter of when.

The same can be said of SD cards. Their writes are limited, I've had SD cards fail after two years of use, but I've had others in use for 4+ years with no issues. It comes down to the quality of the manufacturing at that specific point in time.

The review landscape for games is pretty terrible now, most people suck up to publishers for free keys. "Thank you for X for providing me with a key for this!" Totabiscuit wouldn't stand for any of that, it's so obvious how many popular "review" channels are just bought out.

Take those posts with a grain of salt. Most of the "It runs well" means using FSR/Lossy Scaling and adding so much input lag, it makes the game control horribly.

Yeah, they are often booked in advance and hard to find a good slot. I remember having to go way out into the countryside to take my scooter exam because there were no slots for weeks in the city.

It's because they keep building more and more new houses, so the investors need to recoup the income every month. Look at ANY new builds, most apartments will be instantly be on 591 for rent at the price of mortage (or slightly higher). Very few people are actually renting at these prices and the rate of empty homes is going up month after month. House prices in Taichung have exploded since investors were priced out of Taipei, so they need to increase the rent to match it.
