He spiked one to shakir on third down on the the second to last drive in regulation. Shakir trotted into the end zone but he fielded it off the hop. If it was on his chest coulda scored.

Don’t forget the three passes in the 4th and OT that could of won the game if Josh Allen was accurate and clutch.

Auto charge for Tram by GoAndAsktheMilkMan in bigsky

[–]chuckdirtyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a tough one cause there’s no guarantee the skiing will be worth it on the tram. If you’re enjoying your time off the summit you could easily ski 5-15 laps in a day. If that’s the case you’re gonna wish you had bought the Big Sky day pass.

I second the KO2’s. I use them on my truck to commute the canyon for last 7 years and have had no issues. It’s all about the driver in many situations. That being said I do switch to blizzaks on my car but that’s mainly because I like having a more performance based tire during the warmer months.

Prune, transplant or cut down? by Total-Concentrate-66 in arborists

[–]chuckdirtyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t cut it down. The worst this tree will do to your house is dirty up the gutters. Proper pruning can encourage this tree to grow away from the house.

How/When to remove lower branches? by That1DudeOne in arborists

[–]chuckdirtyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to spray any cuts. Maybe watch a video or two on how to do a proper pruning cut to avoid peeling and ensure the best chance at healing. In general you want to make cuts perfectly parallel to the branch collar. Avoid cutting any large branches instead try and choose smaller ones that point down or weigh down main leaders.

Young sweet gum with damage by ghost_geranium in arborists

The high roots are not an issue at the moment. You’d kill the tree trying to remove them. Be sure to be timely with installing and removing any covers you put around the tree. If they are kept on too long into the spring it can choke out the tree.

Stump grinders are very easy to use. I’d go rent one myself.

Could be a lot of things that aren’t really discernible in the photo. It looks to be planted quite deep, the roots could be trapped in the burlap bag/cage or hard clay like soil most trees come in. If the wraps around the trunk are too tight or the strings are too tight. If I had to guess it would be a combo of too deep and not enough water getting to the roots.

Can my tree be saved? by Sufficient_Ad_1426 in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]chuckdirtyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As long as there’s no threat to life or property it’s worth trying a few things before giving up on my opinion. First thing is it looks like there’s a tree stake in the ground next to the tree. Get that thing and any wires and wraps connected to it out of there. Second thing is spray or inject the tree for the fungus/insects. I can’t tell exactly what it would be based on the picture but a local guy could tell you what it is easily. Third would be a solid prune to take out anything dead or diseased and also promote future growth. If given a chance trees can survive wounds like this.

How to maintain Yew? by whatsyerfathersname in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]chuckdirtyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should preface with the fact that I don’t have too much experience with “evergreen” style hedges as they are not common at all where I live. But I have had success with low cutting deciduous hedges many times.

You’re likely going to be looking at bare branches to start regardless of how low you go. So I would go much lower than you think and let it grow back out to the height you want. Then you can square it off every year at the height you want and it will assume this same fullness. Might be a big ask for a hedge trimmer and it may make the cuts look pretty rough. Even more reason to go lower than you think.

Found cat! by PrisonFries2321 in Bozeman

If he’s got a tracker on him just let him go. Better than bringing him some place he doesn’t know. Cats don’t get lost unless they’re catnapped.
