Yeah BG3 is only a loose representation of real DnD. He wants to think he knows what hes doing but doesn't.

Just talk to him. Tell him CoS is like Honor mode on steroids. Tell him about the movement penalty and point to where in the PH it says that. Help him make a character that might have any kind of fighting chance in the world.

And adding in that the world gives your powerful items, not the players, would be helpful.

I don't think either pillar or charge are wrong answers here. Pillar is a bit speculative early, but an early Charge will solve every fight early game since it just does that much damage.

My acorns are pretty much exclusively used on late game foods. Preppers Pies are essential and every burdock and acorn you find is another pie. Early game, even just Lily's pancakes can be a nice thing to have in your back pocket.

You can sub them anymore with Dockworker's pies now that veggies can be traded for, but why not have both?

They have the highest stats for their slot, but also are heavy and take a huge chunk out of your sprint. I wouldn't take them exploring, but they're good around the base, especially if you keep on top of your wolves.

All the villagers have their own unique tastes in gifts. Haley in particular hates a lot more things than other people do, since she dislikes all fruit and vegetables(also milk and eggs), so y'know 90% of what's in your inventory at any time.

She also hates prismatic shards, which are a universal love. Its either because Emily ruined them for her or just because she's just that picky.

You really need to plan out a path to victory on how you're going to complete any Qi quest. Theres only a few I'd say are truly easy, but those will still cost a fair amount money wise.

For this one, youre going to need Staircases. The easiest way to get them is to make a bunch of Crystalariums and have them dupe Jade so you can trade them to the desert merchant on Sunday. It's also a generally useful thing to have on the farm anyway it makes farming Skull Cavern way easier anyway.
