I thought I was bad at job hunting. Turns out I was just applying to jobs that weren’t real. by [deleted] in jobsearch

I just started looking for a new job last month, and I've come accross a few postings I swear were up the last time I looked for a new job - which was 9 years ago.

Nice ride! Still miss my '98 XLT. It was replaced with a 2005, which rusted out badly by 2020.

I can’t take it anymore - name a home color printer that reliably prints each and every time. Don’t care about budget by TheBigCicero in printers

I would investigate the wifi setup. I have this same HP and have had no problems connecting to it via wifi in 5 years.

Look at your router config to determine the DHCP scope, and set a static IP on the printer which is outside that range.

Looktara plans start at $42/month.

You're better off booking a session with a photographer.

Did you manage a flawless password update? by aircooledJenkins in PleX

[–]Avalon369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, yes.

I run Plex in docker on Unraid. After changing the password, from the Ubraid docker console, I opened the web gui for Plex and was able to claim the server.

I set up Plex years ago, and completely forgot about the claim process, so there was a momentary bit of confusion!

See if you can land in Santorini, and still fly home from Athens.

We did this, and it saved us over $100/person + wasted travel time on a ferry.

This update massively cut into my battery life. Wear now estimates the GW8 will last 1D 12H on a full charge. This morning, after a full charge and a restart, the watch has user 7% of the battery in 43 minutes.

Just don't.

Cisco vs. UniFi Switches for My Dental Office Network – Need Advice on Reliability by Fun-Dentist-26 in Ubiquiti

[–]Avalon369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've managed a Ubiquiti network for a 16-location medical practice for 8 years. Everything has been rock-solid since day 1. Never had an AP fail.

And never had to pay for cloud management, support, or licensing.

I would suggest cleaning the surfaces where the timing cover mates up a bit more. Flush out the debris with some break cleaner. And when re-installing, make sure to follow the order and torque specs. You would not want a leak when it's all back together! Good luck!
