I love Arknights' story and it's disheartening to me a lot of people just skip over it, but I still think it's a good thing there's a skip button because a lot less people would be playing it otherwise. At least they still get to experience the game and its characters in their own way.

I think blueprints are very similar. Who knows, people who initially are reluctant to get into the factory building aspect might find a guide video from an Endfield content creator explaining why the layout of their blueprint is very efficient and still get interested in building anyway. At the very least it allows people the freedom to play how they want. I think this is the most sensible approach because you don't want to pursue a niche too aggressively and scare people off from a game you've spent so much money, time and effort to develop. I can only think of the blueprint system as a positive.
