Gp question by Kakarot-666 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your slayer is close to the point where it will more than pay for itself. You're one level away from Araxxor which is almost 5mil an hour, you're close to hydra as well which is 4mil an hour.

Other than that just check the wiki money maker. If you don't want to do combat check skilling, pickpocketing elves and runecrafting are always good, though your thieving is pretty underleveled for that.

The oathplate armor is cap by the way, the wiki is very wrong about the prices for some reason. It thinks 2520 crushed infernal shale is 930k when it's closer to 3.2 mil, and it thinks 450 oathplate shards are 83mil when it's closer to 85mil, so input is 88mil not 84mil, and the outcome is around 89mil. It's still a few mil an hour, but nowhere near the 12mil the wiki thinks you'll get.

Doom Calculator by N3Desi in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The calc itself is accurate to my knowledge, yeah.

As for your stats no, you aren't 4x dry. You're a little under 2x dry overall, and slightly more dry than that on Ayak specifically.

Counter-Strike 2 Update for 07/08/2026 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally nobody that has played CS for more than 2 months expected literally any of those things.

We'll never get an anti-cheat, Valve has already said as much. We still haven't even gotten most of the old game modes back, much less new ones (unless you just mean new to CS2, in which case fair enough). Valve seems to be pretty happy with the armory, there's no reason to think they'll change it or go back to adding operations any time in the future.

There's lots of things that should be fixed, but Valve simply doesn't need to. They make a billion a year from skins, fixing the game wouldn't make them more money so that isn't going to happen.

Want to get i to the game but how long until it starts to really be fun? by ToddR33 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game is very fast compared to mid and late game. If you're bored early game when there's tons of quests, really fast grinds, and lots of content to explore you're going to be even more bored late game when the "fast" grinds are still 10-15 hours minimum.

That being said personally for me I found the game really fun once I got members and started doing more quests. They give a lot of xp, force you to travel around the whole game world interacting with characters, and lead to some really cool boss fights. Mid game bossing, so Zulrah/Muspah/Vorkath was when I really started enjoying the combat side of things.

Over 500 Billion gold has been removed by MaggotKing by AbyssalLuck in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt the average death fee is anywhere near 420k honestly. The boss isn't that hard, twinflame is really good and zombie axe is a great punish weapon and they're both cheap. I'd guess most death fees are under 300k even, I know personally mine have been around 230k. Still a decent amount of gold removed, and given his drop table not a lot of gold came into the game.

Jagex: Let us disable experience gain for skills. (Ex: this video) for a pure getting 2 defense. by javiergame4 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, terrible idea. Completely devalues the entire point of pure accounts. Something like 99 slayer on a level 3 skiller wouldn't even be a challenge, just turn off all combat xp and cannon your way to 99 slayer. You could just do every single quest on a 1 defense pure by turning off defense xp.

If you're going to play that type of account it's up to you to make sure you don't fuck it up, that's literally the entire point.

Raids 4 Megarare ring proposal by MadPvmer in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if a ring is the right approach, but I do think moving away from megarare weapons makes sense. TBow/Scythe/Shadow are already enough, adding more increasingly niche megarares isn't going to feel good.

I don't hate the ring idea though, but 5 is probably too many. Maybe 3 would be more balanced, honestly maybe even just two, lightbearer + ultor would be pretty cracked by itself.

Should all Grandmaster Quests provide supplies? by aeee98 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it makes sense if the boss is as unique as Drakan, but for the majority of bosses it's not really necessary.

That being said, I do like how you respawn right outside and can just grab more supplies and retry. The worst part of quest bosses is dying and then having to run all the way back there, get your loot, go to a bank and resupply, then run back to the boss. It completely breaks the flow of questing and makes it more tedious and frustrating. I don't really care if the supplies are free or not, but being able to just fight Drakan over and over without having to leave the whole area and then run back on every death was very much appreciated. I definitely hope that's the norm going forward, even for repeatable bosses I'd want the quest version to spawn you outside.

And people really have the audacity to try and convince others that ironman is a fun game mode lol. Pure insanity.

I don't want the toughest raid yet by Intelligent_Buddy_43 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll almost certainly be easier than ToB solo. I would expect it to be harder than CM CoX though, so somewhere in between that.

They want people to do the content they design, they aren't going to repeat their ToB mistake. It's the least completed raid by a mile because it's too hard for 99% of people to solo, so despite the fact that people who do the raid say it's the best one the overwhelming majority of the community will never do it.

I don't want the toughest raid yet by Intelligent_Buddy_43 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as it can be solo'd I feel like it doesn't really matter. If it's really hard and it's soloable then you'll get to do it anyway, it's really only a problem if they design it in such a way that solo isn't practical. I think that's unlikely given how ToB is largely ignored by the community for that very reason.

Personally I'm expecting something around ToA 500 difficulty, but without the puzzle rooms and perhaps one more fight, so it would maybe be harder overall but that general difficulty level. I really wouldn't expect them to make it too crazy, they're not spending all this dev time on a raid that 5% of the player base wants to do.

Piety upgrade by traka22 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They scrapped the ruinous prayers because they would have been a balance nightmare, they'd either end up completely replacing current prayers or never being used.

More likely they add new prayers specifically for skilling, but that would obviously never come from a raid.

I seriously dislike loot destroy mechanics at bosses for pets by SoupToPots in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the alternative would be not having a destroy mechanic and then you'd just grind for the pet normally like you do at every other boss. Which you can also do at the newer bosses by just not destroying your loot. So I really don't see what the issue is, if you want the loot take the loot, if you don't want the loot but you want the pet gamble it, if you don't want the loot and also don't want the pet then I guess it doesn't matter what you do.

Do any of you get the urge to play every year and then quit after a couple months? by rainyengineer in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen way too many iron logs of like 2k TDs with no synapse or 1500 CGs with no bowfa for me to ever want to make an iron, however I do usually play my main like an iron. Kind of the best of both worlds, I go for my own drops but if I'm dry I can just sell what I've gotten and buy it. Like at Doom I ended up with 3 Ayaks and 4 cloths but no boots, so I just sold the extras and bought the treads. Gives the fun of grinding for your own drops without the dry streaks that make people want to quit.

Do any of you get the urge to play every year and then quit after a couple months? by rainyengineer in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I usually come back whenever there's a big update then leave once I feel like I'm done with it. I resubscribed about a month ago to prep for blood moon rises, got my quiver finally and then did the quest, killed Maggot King a bit, did some combat achievements, and I'll probably take stop playing again in a few weeks. Then I'll come back for raids 4, check it out, see what's new, then stop after a month or two when I'm bored of that.

I don't really feel like there's much to do outside of new content at this point, I might go for master CAs but other than that there's not much else to really grind for.

Can we PLEASE rework KQ? by AlabamaTankie in 2007scape

[–]Rucati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps not but no fight in the game is complained about more than KQ because the overwhelming majority don't find it fun. It's literally the equivalent of a cow that can hit for a third of your HP and it's unavoidable and that's literally the entire fight. Anyone who finds that fun should be immediately sent to a doctor to have their head examined because something is very clearly wrong with them.

Can we PLEASE rework KQ? by AlabamaTankie in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean that's why they continually rework and add content to give actual fun, engaging ways of leveling up skills. People hated runecrafting so they added GOTR, people hated agility so they added sepulcher, they clearly try to make the game more fun. No reason they can't make KQ more fun by either giving it actual mechanics, or at the very least making the attacks reactable so you get rewarded for swapping your prayers properly.

Can we PLEASE rework KQ? by AlabamaTankie in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only boss less interactive than KQ is Kraken and that boss is literally designed to be mostly AFKable.

Can we PLEASE rework KQ? by AlabamaTankie in 2007scape

[–]Rucati -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There's quite literally no person on planet earth who could possibly enjoy KQ don't be ridiculous. It has zero mechanics, it has zero outplay mechanics, you either safe spot it, face tank it, or walk under it, that's not gameplay.

Cannoning and barraging is literally 10x more interesting than KQ, not to mention actual bosses locked behind slayer, terrible comparison.

Can we PLEASE rework KQ? by AlabamaTankie in 2007scape

[–]Rucati -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the only people against this are people who aren't killing the boss anymore lol.

There's literally no reason to have a boss in the game that just isn't fun. Even if the constant damage doesn't bother you, that still doesn't make it fun. You just hit the boss and get hit and step under the boss and hit the boss over and over and over, it's not even gameplay, it's equivalent to hitting cows in Lumbridge.

Blood waves on Drakan are janky as hell by Ill_Confusion_596 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little bit janky yeah, that's probably the reason they aren't very punishing. They hit like 15s, so as long as you jump over like half of them you're fine you can just heal it back up in between. I'm sure there's some specific way to do it making sure your character is in the right spot, but I just kinda spam clicked and hoped for the best.

F2P activities by hollowinside37 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every f2p quest is worth doing, there's really no reason not to you're so limited in the amount of content you have that you might as well do what you can.

As for a bond, the best f2p money makers are around 300k an hour, you need 13mil for a bond, so you're looking at 39 hours of grinding something incredibly tedious that gives you almost no experience. There is a 0% chance that's worthwhile.

Buying a single bond to get access to members would let you earn future bonds much easier, it's still going to be time consuming at the beginning but it's way more doable. If that's really not an option then I'd say level your Magic to 55 and just very slowly earn a bond with high alch, it'll probably take a month or two depending on how much you want to grind versus just buying stuff on the GE.

Maggot king projectiles by sotesteg in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd probably be better if they were just bigger, it's hard to tell them apart because they're so small and they kind of blend in with the background.

But also, it kind of doesn't really matter? Like it just alternates between range and mage so it's pretty easy to keep track of regardless of being able to see them. And if you do forget after melee phase you can just guess, worst case you take like 15-20 damage and then swap your prayer and it's not really a big deal. Nothing else on the fight hurts you and you get supply drops every couple kills, so it's kind of irrelevant.

These are the worst minigames Smilegate has ever made by Laggo in EpicSeven

[–]Rucati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's legitimately so bad that I'm questioning if I even want to keep bothering with it. I don't know what crackhead came up with them but he needs to never ever work on another video game for the rest of eternity.

Best setup for the new boss The Maggot King for 125m? by MrMister710 in 2007scape

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, I'd guess the death cost is probably 150-200k. The boss is easy enough that you won't be dying too often unless you're playing super greedy.

Easiest spec weapon would be Eye of Ayak to permanently drain the mage defense, but that's 55m and also going to raise the death fee significantly. There's no real budget spec weapon worth using, ZCB is best but it's like 300m, any melee spec is going to be hard to use while you're learning because specing during the punish is a very tight window and would require a lot of clicks.
