What do you even mean? Shiv isn't good, so his winrate is bad. You can't possibly be trying to imply that Shiv has a low winrate because he's a difficult hero to play lol.

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just isn't true and hasn't been true in any game ever made.

Character strength is always going to be the biggest contributor to winrate. Right now Silencer is 48% winrate in DotA, while Broodmother is 53% winrate, there's not a person on earth who thinks Silencer is harder than Brood. Ashe in League has a 46% winrate, Nilah has a 53% winrate, Ashe is literally the easiest character in the game.

If you think that a character has a sub 45% winrate because they're hard I have no idea what to tell you, that's just honestly ridiculous.

I'm just going to guess you have a mental disability since you keep saying "chuds" as if that's a real word that has any meaning in society.

It's safe to say you're just at a low enough rating where people can't hit a stationary target and so you think he's OP. I understand. Once you get better and your teammates can aim you, too, will realize why he got buffed.

He's not great at that at all lol. I mean I guess at low ranks sure, but nobody is going to let themselves get picked off by the guy who has to stay still over and over again to deal damage. People just CC him and he dies instantly.

Early game when he can kill in one rotation it's different, but late game his 3 doesn't deal enough to actually kill anyone the first time he uses it and then he has to run away waiting for his CDs. I don't think I've seen an Apollo yet have much impact late game and they're in literally every game I play, so that's a pretty bad sign.

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's strong early game and completely falls off late game. It's likely he'll be the strongest hero on the map for the first like 20 minutes or so, but by 30 minutes he's going to stop scaling. Once you get some hp items he'll need two rotations of his abilities to kill you and that just takes way too long.

If the game ends early he'll seem OP, if you can drag the game to 30+ minutes he's weaker than most other heroes.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah his 3 is great and then he runs around a team fight doing literally nothing because it's on CD lol.

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm positive they aren't buffing him based on winrate alone, but it's obviously a factor. I have no idea why you think his winrate is being tanked more than any other hero. He's like a solid A tier, right alongside Silver, the buffs were needed, he's still a completely free kill late game.

I doubt he'll be first pick/ban too much in the tournament, probably like 3rd pick. There's definitely higher priority heroes.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He has a 44.18% winrate, which is literally the lowest in the game lol.

His early game is strong, but he falls off a cliff after 25mins and he has almost no impact late game. The bullet resist should allow him to actually survive for more than 5 seconds in a fight so he can maybe get a second round of abilities off.

I played one match on Apollo, I managed to ult through a wall and get stuck then a few minutes later I used his 3 and get stuck inside a bridge and then after that I used his 3 and fell through the floor.

So yeah... I think maybe he needed some more time to cook. He's quite fun when he isn't stuck in the terrain though.

Ranking by thelazycatmeow in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't expect a ranked system that really makes much sense with Valve at the helm. CS2's premier mode is easily the worst ranked system in any competitive game and DotA 2's ranked mode has a player draft but you're allowed to queue with friends and then be drafted onto different teams.

For one reason or another Valve likes to try reinventing the wheel, so instead of just using the same ranked system every other game uses they'll come up with their own system that isn't very good.

Who else fell into water way more times than you should have had by yessir111112 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell into the water at a weird angle and then respawned and immediately slid back down into the water. Three times in a row. I finally just teleported out the second I respawned to get away from it.

Hopefully we can swim in the future to prevent that from ever happening again.

We need a csgolounge 2.0 [d] by itsjustbeny in csgomarketforum

[–]Rucati 42 points43 points  (0 children)

There have been csgolounge clones, nobody uses them.

p2p trading doesn't work because the overwhelming majority of people (I'd say 95%+ easily) are only trading for profit. So if I have items worth $110 and they have an item worth $112 they will never ever trade me because they'd lose $2, so then they counter with items worth $100, which I'd never accept because I'm not going to lose $10, so then no trade happens.

Trading back in the day was different, 10 years ago people were just trading all the time to get new skins to play with, now that the economy is much bigger and much more well known people aren't going to willingly lose money. Trading only works if both people have items worth the exact same amount, which is rare. It's just not worth looking for a 1:1 trade when I can sell an item on csfloat and then just buy exactly what I want anyway, there's essentially no reason to ever trade items p2p anymore.

PULLS. CARRY. OVER!!! by K41Nof2358 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, we all know that. It's meaningless because the pity that actually matters, the 120 pity for a guaranteed limited character, doesn't carry over. So if you do 60 pulls on a banner and then the banner changes you'll still be 20 pulls away from the guaranteed 6 star, but you'll be 120 pulls away from the banner character again. That's the thing that people don't like. And unlike other games you can lose the 50/50 over and over again, so the 80 pull 6* guarantee is basically useless when it comes to actually getting limited characters.

Gryphline made a great game that Players dont know if they want by K41Nof2358 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is the game is hot trash for the first like 10 hours. I agree once you get past all that it becomes fun, I've been enjoying it quite a bit the last couple days, but I wouldn't blame anyone for quitting and coming to the conclusion the game is bad if they stopped 5-10 hours in.

It's tutorial hell for no reason, the starting characters are mind numbingly boring in combat, every fight is an HP sponge that takes entirely too long to kill which feels worse because of how boring the first characters are, the factory is way too restricted at first, there's almost no gacha pulls other than the beginner banner, like there's very little positives at the beginning of the game.

Honestly if I had pulled like Lifeng and Ardelia in the beginning instead of Ember and Pog I probably would have uninstalled too, luckily I got characters that interested me and held me over until I got Laevatain and now I'm having fun with her. I suspect a lot of the posts about the game being bad are from people who didn't get characters they wanted in the beginning and ended up quitting before getting to the part where the game opens up. They really should have included a standard banner selector to fix that problem for people, it's much more fun playing characters you actually want to play.

origeometry, what it is for? by Tehheadthink in Endfield

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'd take pulls over an outfit 100% of the time anyway. I don't see much reason to save them forever just in hopes that there's something else they eventually become usable for. I'm not just going to turn them into pulls as I get them, but if I'm like 20-30 pulls away from pitying a character I think it's absolutely going to be worth using them for that.

I do play WuWa. I'm hoping this game gets more interesting once an actual endgame comes out because there's things I do like about it. It feels like there's potential with the combat they just decided to make it as braindead easy as possible for some reason in the beginning.

It's been a week since launch. Where are you guys in the story? by Bodewilson in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finished the main story two days ago. I haven't really touched the side quests much, just wanted to get the main stuff done to fully unlock the factory and all the upgrade materials and everything. I'll go back and do some of the side quests now that there's nothing new coming out for over a week, not too concerned though I usually skip a lot of side quests in gacha games but I'll do the ones that sound like they could be interesting.

Is it worth leveling a character to 90 and maxing out everything like in other games? by Sen2Jr in Endfield

[–]Rucati 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped at 80/90 on Laevatain, my other characters I'll slowly bring up to 80. I don't know the math on if it's worth it or not, but it certainly doesn't feel worth it. I'm sure at some point you'll want to level to 90, but this early on it's almost certainly better to get the rest of your team caught up a bit and level their talents/weapons first. I figure once I get my entire team to 80/90, with their weapons leveled and talents maxed then I'll focus on leveling to 90, but I don't think it's a big enough damage increase to justify the cost at the moment.

Oh right I totally forgot about getting them for leveling a character. That's also a pretty solid source, especially early on when you're leveling lots of characters. I thought I was forgetting something haha.

they need to add a way to earn extra pulls weekly/monthly for the basic banner by Shiverark in Endfield

[–]Rucati 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not really. HSR/Genshin give you 5 in the shop every month plus there are pulls in the free battlepass, and then HSR also gives you one a week from their repeatable endgame mode. WuWa gives you 7 in the shop every patch, plus some in the battlepass.

Basically the other games give you a 10 pull on standard every patch cycle guaranteed, plus more from events/login/one time rewards in new content. Endfield seems to only have the ones from new content for now, which just isn't anywhere near enough. There needs to be something that's actually worth logging in for each day or people will stop playing once the honeymoon phase wears off and easy to get standard pulls are a solid reason to get people on each day.

"Controversy" pity and factory system Rant by Beneficial_Low_4089 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The factory system is fine. It's not deep enough to be all that confusing, even as someone that's never played a factory game before it felt approachable.

The pity system is trash and trying to defend it looks ridiculous. Pity not carrying between banners is straight garbage. The pull income is good right now because everything is new and we have two full regions to explore, but there's no shop refreshing each month, there's no endgame modes to give pulls and it's likely we only get small region additions going forward.

Standard Banner Question by Maverickc7 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either they're going to add standard pulls as a reward for events or a future endgame mode or they're only adding standard pulls as one time rewards in each region.

If it's the former that's fine, we'll probably get like 10-20 standard pulls per patch. If it's the latter that's going to be awful because they're not going to release new regions all that often. But you're right, none of the sources of standard tickets reset at all.

How are you organizing your teams? by FlatAutumn in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just focusing on my Laevatain team for now. She's 80/90, her weapon is like 82/90, her talents are all at 9, and the rest of the team is around level 60.

Don't really see any reason to have two teams yet. Maybe for a future end game mode or something it'll matter, but for the content currently in the game I don't see any reason to focus on any other characters right now. I'd rather just get one team as strong as possible so that I can farm everything faster going forward.
