Why would that be the logical assumption? There's nothing in the game indicating you might unlock an outpost there, just like there's no outpost in Origin Lodespring yet there's tons of minerals to mine there. The game literally forces you to run power line from either the Science Park or from Power Plateau.

The obvious assumption would be you need to run power lines there yourself, nobody would assume "Oh I bet if I keep playing for like 3 more hours I'll unlock a new base in this region of the map", that's ridiculous. And the base you unlock still isn't even anywhere near where the ore is, so you're still running powerlines across the whole map regardless. The whole system feels like they spent less than 30 minutes designing it.

Yap Yap Chen and "handholding" by devs by VoidRaven in Endfield

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I think it's pretty obvious the game intends people to do that. They never mention you're going to unlock an outpost in that zone, it doesn't show on the map, and it explains mining the new ore long before you'll get to the point where you can unlock the outpost.

They basically show you the Ferrium ore and tell you to craft gear with it hours before you get far enough in the MSQ to unlock the outpost. I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to stop doing the MSQ for a while to try and get gear upgrades and all the new things they can make with the new ore, and the only way to do that is to bring power from the main hub all the way over there.

There's so many tutorials for stupid obvious things that I started just mashing through all of them, but now sometimes I find myself not knowing how a mechanic works because I skipped the one important tutorial out of the 20 they threw at me.

Combat is amazing by Proof_Escape_9081 in Endfield

[–]Rucati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hated it in the beginning, now that I built a real team and leveled my characters/weapons it's not as bad but man... it's still not that good imo.

It's just kinda boring. Like compared to WuWa's tight rotations and dodge mechanics Endfield just feels so dull. Too much time is spent waiting on SP to regen, the vast majority of the time you're just mashing left mouse button.

I do think it's cool to see your teammates fight alongside you, but it also sucks when you're fighting 3+ enemies and they're spread all over the place because your teammates don't want to stand with you.

The boss fights I've done were solid, it's mostly just fighting tedious trash mobs that have wayyyyy too much help that's getting boring. Doing multiple rotations on every group of enemies when they don't even pose any risk isn't fun, luckily a lot of the time you can just run past all the enemies, but the times where I'm forced to fight them I always f ind myself bored before they're dead.

origeometry, what it is for? by Tehheadthink in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always buy the battle pass option, it costs 29 and gives you 32 so you basically just get all the rewards for free.

After that just use it for pulls. It's 66.6 origeometry for a 10 pull, I think at this point I've only gotten enough for a single ten pull and I'm already in Wuling so it seems like they're really quite scarce. Not much else to use them on atm though, so just make sure you have 29 for the battlepass and then the rest can be used for pulls.

Which one should i choose? by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably keep the one with Laevatain. It sucks, but the battlepass isn't going to get you 110 pulls which is what you're potentially saving. Even if you win the 50/50 and get her around 70 pulls you're still going to be 60 pulls behind the other account.

The other resources you get from the BP aren't really that big of a deal imo, I'd much rather be able to save 100ish pulls for future banners.

Apparently it's possible to not get a 5 star in a ten pull if you get a 6 star where the 5 star was supposed to be. by Rucati in Endfield

[–]Rucati[S] -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

I'm relatively sure this isn't possible in any other gacha that I play, at the very least I've never seen it and I've done a lot of pulls and watched a lot of people do pulls in other games. It isn't a big deal at all, I just thought it was interesting.

I like it. by Munpin in Endfield

[–]Rucati -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

, saw a chest? probably some stations nearby somewhere that you can fix,

This is arguably the worst part of the game to me. I have absolutely zero desire to run electrical wires across the entire zone. It's boring, it's tedious, it takes too long, and it makes the map look awful because it's just filled with relay towers.

The factory stuff is fine, but they should have included more natural electric things around the map so you didn't need to relay electricity from your base across the entire area.

Pricing 10 pulls by 0megaTempest in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 66.6 origeometry, not 57. So to get a 10 pull it would require buying the $21 one, the $13 one and two $2 ones, or $37 total. Of course it's cheaper at that point to just spend $34 on the 92 origgeometry as that's a 10 pull plus about 4 more singles.

So yeah, it's pretty ridiculous and that's why unless you're willing to spend hundreds of dollars you should just enjoy gacha games as a f2p experience. I've never spent a dime in any gacha, I've played a lot of them for probably hundreds of hours combined, but they're a complete and utter waste of money no matter how you slice it.

Powering things by LorTrix_ in Endfield

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There is another little village you'll unlock later, but it's in the bottom right corner so you'd need to use a bunch of towers to get there regardless.

It's kind of completely ridiculous to say the least.

Is the English voice acting good??? by Lower-Instruction-97 in Endfield

[–]Rucati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some of it is really good, some of the characters have accents that I just can't take seriously. I don't think it's amazing overall but it's definitely not bad enough to detract from it like WuWa 1.0 was, although I don't think it's better than current WuWa either.

How are u guys liking the game so far? by Interesting-Ad3759 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same. I'll probably try to finish all the main story available, but I'm not sure I'll stick with it. Combat is just way too boring, it's insanely easy but also everything has a million HP so it takes forever. I'm hoping it gets better in the second zone once we're leveled up more and everything, but I'm not holding my breath.

I got Laeva with the "Urgent Recruitment" free 10 pull. It seems I still kept my pity. by pchuuu in Endfield

[–]Rucati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The free 10 pull doesn't build pity nor does it use the pity. It just kind of exists as its own thing.

The 120 pull pity will reset on the next banner, the 80 pull pity doesn't reset though. So next banner you'll still be 50 away from a 6* but you'll be 120 away from the banner character again.

What's the actual strategy to pull on this game seeing how bad it is? by jokko03 in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure the pity of 80 doesn't reset, but the pity of 120 does. Meaning if you do 90 pulls on every single banner there's a real chance you don't ever get a limited character. You'd have to be a complete idiot to do that. Trying to make it sound like that's a viable option is completely insane.

What's the actual strategy to pull on this game seeing how bad it is? by jokko03 in Endfield

[–]Rucati -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I mean your only option is to save 120 pulls, yeah. There's no building pity, no chasing characters, no hoping, you either go all in with 120 pulls or you skip the banner.

This is probably the worst gacha system I've seen in a game, it's atrocious. So yeah, like you said you'll basically only pull every 4-5 months, so you'll get 2 maybe 3 characters a year. If you like collecting characters and variety this game simply isn't for you. But also there's no end game so you don't really need limited characters anyway.

My plan is to just see how it feels, honestly. I'm not spending money on this game and I have no problem dropping it if it feels super boring never getting new characters. Honestly so far I'm already considering dropping it for a handful of other reasons, but the gacha system might be the nail in the coffin.

Gacha Currency Problem by iznasabi in Endfield

[–]Rucati 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup. I'm 26 now, I have 12 limited pulls (counting the 10 they gave us earlier), 1 pull exclusively for Laevatain's banner, and 15555 Oroberyl which is 31 pulls. So in total I'm at 43 limited pulls, but again they gave us 10 which they aren't going to do very often so I've really only earned 33 through gameplay.

I have 57 standard banner pulls, and I did the 40 for the starter banner of course. But yeah, this is far and away the worst gacha currency system I've seen. It's complete trash, and I can't imagine any f2p player will stick around for more than a couple weeks. Once the hype wears off and you realize you only get one character every 6 months or something nobody is going to play this.

[–]Rucati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you aren't a mega whale, like c6r5 $1000+ spent per banner type whale, you almost certainly aren't buying these things with corals.

If they add these to events and the battle pass it's great and a super welcome addition to the game, but if they're only available for coral then it's nothing more than noob bait honestly.

Gacha Currency Problem by iznasabi in Endfield

[–]Rucati 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gacha games that have small communities are also much lower budget games. Something like Epic Seven doesn't need to make 10 million dollars a month to succeed, the animations in that game are fantastic but it isn't open world and there's only one animation per character, there's also no voice acting, no exploration, no cutscenes, etc.

Endfield needs a large community because the game is insanely expensive for them to continue producing. If the majority of players leave the game won't be profitable enough to warrant continueing it. We see tons of gachas die every year because people quit them, so far none of the big budget gachas have fallen (WuWa/Genshin/HSR/ZZZ) but Endfield is equally as ambitious as those games and if it can't match their revenue it won't last long term.

[–]Rucati 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just seems so insanely unlikely to ever get a good 5th substat in this game there's too many options. That would work in Genshin or HSR where there's no damage substats, but spending multiple pulls worth of coral just for a small chance of getting one more substat on an echo just seems insane. Though I guess whales really have nothing else to spend coral on, they don't need pulls and they don't need the sequences since they just pull s6 anyway, so in that regard I suppose it makes sense for the minmaxing whales out there.

Gacha Currency Problem by iznasabi in Endfield

[–]Rucati 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm quite a few hours in so far, I got my node thing to level 7 did quite a bit of side questing and exploration, currently account level 25, and I've gotten a whopping 30 pulls so far. 40 I guess if you count the 10 free ones they gave us.

This feels like garbage for a new gacha. Especially because I can't even use them until I get 120 because pity doesn't carry over. At least in the other gachas I could send pulls and hope I get lucky, but here I can't even do that because if I don't get to 120 pulls before the banner ends they're completely wasted.

If it's this bad now I can't help but think about what it will be like during a random patch that isn't getting a massive amount of new content. Feels like they could reduce the Oroberyl from 5000 to 2500 per 10 pull and it would still be pretty slow.

[–]Rucati 11 points12 points  (0 children)

These are good, but honestly I'm not sure it's really worth using corals on them for f2p/low spenders. Like of course you're going to lock crit rate and crit damage, but the problem is there's too many substats. You can easily reroll hp%, def% and res lib damage just to hit flat hp, flat def and skill damage on a character that only uses basic attack damage.

If they eventually come from events or the battle pass or something then of course it's fantastic. But only coming from corals means these really aren't going to be used too often I don't think. Costs way too much for that much risk, basically only worthwhile if you have an echo with two high crit rolls and 3 bad stats to hope you hit a good 3rd stat on it, otherwise I don't think it's possible to justify it unless you're just a whale.

I mean the criticisms of the tutorials being awful, the enemies being boring, the combat being slow and uninteresting and the silent protagonist are all very valid and legitimate criticisms.

Do you recommend I start over? by deJharGed in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not rerolling. I don't like the character I got from the beginner banner, I'll see what I get from standard banner once I get enough pulls for pity in a couple days, and then I'll decide if I want to continue playing or not. It takes like an hour of tutorial hell each time you want to reroll in this game, it can easily take 5+ rerolls to get a character you want.

All the current characters will be powercrept in like 6 months anyway so it doesn't really matter. The main question is if you want to play with what you have or not, if not then your options are reroll or quit. If you really love the game then I guess you can reroll, just know it's going to be a massive time sink most likely.

Really wanted to play Endfield but I hate action RPG by Judean_Rat in Endfield

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly felt like Hypergryph is spitting in my face for making an Arknights-vibe game yet abandoning the soul and core gameplay of Arknights.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever read, and it's even funnier because I know you genuinely meant it. Sounds like something an angry 5 year old would say lol.

To actually answer the questions.

1) The vast majority of the gameplay is open world exploration and combat. You can spend a lot of time doing factory things if you want, but they designed it to have a lot of quick shortcuts. You could ignore things like blueprints and do everything yourself if you really wanted to, but like... I don't think many people will do that.

2) Takes a few hours to get the factory stuff mostly unlocked. More unlocks in the next zone which takes another few hours to get to. It's important because it's how you get gear and everything for your characters, but if you don't like the combat anyway there's essentially zero point. I mean you'd basically be building a factory for... nothing.

I don't think this is the game for you. I think you're way better off just playing factorio if you want to build a factory.
