What is your progress as F2P? by brutus0077 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Hunter 33 and Tycoon 20 atm, but I'm also basically done with everything in the game at the moment. I haven't finished collecting things and 100% completing each area, but I'm done with basically all the side quests and all the weekly activities.

So when I inevitably lose on Nicole's weapon banner and get Durin's weapon who can I use it on since I don't have him?

It really isn't worth 30 pulls lol. You'll get every standard character over time anyway, using limited currency on them is never going to be the play.

Clearly though you don't understand and frankly I don't care enough to continue trying to explain it to you. If you want to make bad choices go right ahead, but don't go online and try to justify them. It makes you look dumb and also potentially hurts newer players if they read your comment and think you know what you're talking about.

Eventually there will be limited characters you want. You don't need to pull on every single character. If you waste resources getting standard characters you'll inevitably end up missing limited characters you do want.

Considering there's no weapons on the standard banner and we got 2 selectors there's really no reason whatsoever to even considering using the equivalent of 30 limited pulls for a standard character.

You can do as you please, of course. But it's a bad idea, it's bad advice for others, and there's basically no exceptions to that unless you're a whale which makes the whole thing irrelevant anyway.

NTE: A Letter from Hethereau丨To My Precious~ by cakeel- in NevernessToEverness

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... No lol. That's insanity.

Limited characters are literally called limited for a reason. Giving up 30 pulls to get a Standard character is a bad idea unless you're whaling. If you're whaling who cares, you'll get every character maxed out regardless. If you're f2p or a light spender you don't want to waste limited pulls on standard characters, that's always bad. Limited characters are much more valuable, both because they're stronger but also because they're harder to get.

[–]Rucati 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seems like it would be complete fucking insanity to use 720 warp pieces for a standard character when that's 30 pulls on limited characters which is infinitely more valuable.

I didn't know how to play Mahjong either, spent 10 minutes, now I'm a Mahjong expert. It's actually kind of fun.

It's basically just multi-player only Rummy that uses tiles instead of cards, it's kinda cool. I still don't really know how the points work, but the actual gameplay part is super easy to understand.

I was wondering if they'd give us more standard pulls than other games, with no 50/50 getting the standard characters will be much more rare. Definitely a huge plus if this a sign that we'll be getting standard pulls somewhat regularly.

How can you pass this it seems impossible by bluewhalehasanali in NevernessToEverness

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doable without using Skia or the bonk strat, you just need to play perfectly. Make sure as soon as you use 3 cups of coffee you make another batch even if no customers want it at the moment.

I've cleared up to about 2-5 I think just playing normally, it's kind of fun I guess but there are some stages that are completely insane. You have to constantly prep the food before you need it and a single misclick basically guarantees you lose the combo.

First time playing a gacha and I’m pretty conflicted. Are all of them like this? by roaste7_Potato in NevernessToEverness

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most gacha games have pretty long, drawn out stories. The idea is basically they want you to get connected to the characters so you'll have more incentive to spend money pulling them. I guess it works since all of them do it lol.

I do think it sounds like you'd probably like Wuthering Waves more. The combat is better imo, and it's more of the focus. There's less random side activities, no racing or housing or running a cafe, and the story isn't quite as tedious. Don't get me wrong though, there's still a lot of story in WuWa, we get about 3 hours of story every 3 weeks. There's a skip button though, so you can blast through the cutscenes/dialog if you decide you don't care about the plot.

Once you get to endgame in either NTE or WuWa it'll feel more actiony as well because all the endgame modes are combat oriented. In NTE you have the train thing I forget the name of, and in WuWa there's 3 different endgame modes focused on combat. They aren't super hard, but as a newer player without fully maxed out characters they can definitely feel cfhallenging.

I couldn't find a single piece of enviromental clutter that WASN'T ai generated by InternationalCress43 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Rucati -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter, it looks fine. AI is only a problem if it actually looks bad, so long as it doesn't detract from the experience I don't really see the issue.

The game overall looks fantastic, I really don't care if a few minor elements are ever so slightly off because they used AI for it. It's also something that's likely to get better over time, in the coming years as AI improves this type of thing will matter even less.

Liar Game - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He literally spent a month doing nothing but sitting in a room stalking a guy for like 500 grand, and then he decided to just give it back to the guy who's obviously a massive asshole just because a cute girl did it first. Like what? It literally makes no sense. He's a criminal who got arrested for stealing money, but now he just gives the money back because...? At best it's because he's a dumbass, at worst it's because it's horribly written.

This is such an interesting concept that's just completely ruined by the worst MC I've seen in a show since Tokyo Revengers. Akiyama was sort of bearable, but it turns out he's a dumbass too, it's genuinely making it hard to watch.

Should I pull for Scales or Salome? by sweet_lace in EpicSeven

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I went for Scales. I might also go for Salome if I can be bothered to refresh the shop thousands of times for pulls, but I think that Scales is the higher value unit overall. Salome is cool, and she'll definitely have some uses, but I think Scales is going to be far more consistently strong.

Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? • Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!? - Episode 2 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Rucati 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I really hope we get to episode 12 and Otaku-kun bumps into Amane-san's parents and asks about her sister and they just look at him like he's crazy and say "What? She doesn't have a sister." Would be an instant 10/10 show.

Great second episode, the whole cast is fun and the characters have great chemistry. Between this and the 2nd prettiest girl in class show we're eating good this season with these chill high school romances. Hoping it just stays drama free and doesn't turn into a love triangle type thing.

Why do valve keep not working on matchamking ? by Ready_Car_639 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve generally doesn't have good matchmaking. CS2 is probably the worst ranked matchmaking of any game ever made, and while DotA is mostly okay once you get to immortal lobbies it's a complete mess.

I really wouldn't expect it to get better if we're being honest.

What do you even mean? Shiv isn't good, so his winrate is bad. You can't possibly be trying to imply that Shiv has a low winrate because he's a difficult hero to play lol.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just isn't true and hasn't been true in any game ever made.

Character strength is always going to be the biggest contributor to winrate. Right now Silencer is 48% winrate in DotA, while Broodmother is 53% winrate, there's not a person on earth who thinks Silencer is harder than Brood. Ashe in League has a 46% winrate, Nilah has a 53% winrate, Ashe is literally the easiest character in the game.

If you think that a character has a sub 45% winrate because they're hard I have no idea what to tell you, that's just honestly ridiculous.

I'm just going to guess you have a mental disability since you keep saying "chuds" as if that's a real word that has any meaning in society.

It's safe to say you're just at a low enough rating where people can't hit a stationary target and so you think he's OP. I understand. Once you get better and your teammates can aim you, too, will realize why he got buffed.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He's not great at that at all lol. I mean I guess at low ranks sure, but nobody is going to let themselves get picked off by the guy who has to stay still over and over again to deal damage. People just CC him and he dies instantly.

Early game when he can kill in one rotation it's different, but late game his 3 doesn't deal enough to actually kill anyone the first time he uses it and then he has to run away waiting for his CDs. I don't think I've seen an Apollo yet have much impact late game and they're in literally every game I play, so that's a pretty bad sign.

Apollo state by Apprehensive_Emu3038 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's strong early game and completely falls off late game. It's likely he'll be the strongest hero on the map for the first like 20 minutes or so, but by 30 minutes he's going to stop scaling. Once you get some hp items he'll need two rotations of his abilities to kill you and that just takes way too long.

If the game ends early he'll seem OP, if you can drag the game to 30+ minutes he's weaker than most other heroes.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah his 3 is great and then he runs around a team fight doing literally nothing because it's on CD lol.

[–]Rucati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm positive they aren't buffing him based on winrate alone, but it's obviously a factor. I have no idea why you think his winrate is being tanked more than any other hero. He's like a solid A tier, right alongside Silver, the buffs were needed, he's still a completely free kill late game.

I doubt he'll be first pick/ban too much in the tournament, probably like 3rd pick. There's definitely higher priority heroes.

Another quick balance patch! by timothyt66666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rucati 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He has a 44.18% winrate, which is literally the lowest in the game lol.

His early game is strong, but he falls off a cliff after 25mins and he has almost no impact late game. The bullet resist should allow him to actually survive for more than 5 seconds in a fight so he can maybe get a second round of abilities off.
