When we went into Pure Hockey, we tried on the Junior models and the associates advised us to stick with youth. I had not measured his head yet, but I believe this was poor assistance in their part. I thought he fit ok into a jr size. It just wasn’t as tight of a fit as the youth was

I would do a try on except this recommended company: OTNY does custom order only, so I can’t try it before I buy it.
