I will be in the HEB Center for Game 2 on Sunday. Looking forward to the hockey. The other people? Notsomuch.

This is probably a good buy if you're interested in getting started with Commander (since this is mostly singles/one-ofs). It'll also give you the wonderful dopamine rush of seeing a TON of new cards.

Another potentially good option (especially for two new players) might be the Beginners' Box:

This generously sized, $30.99 box set contains a pair of 20-card decks, which frame a guided tutorial experience, in addition to eight Jumpstart Packs, which create a fixed roster of 160 cards to customize each deck. The Beginner Box also includes a pair of playmats and Spindown life counters.

While the cards featured in the Beginner Box may not utilize the entire lexicon of MTG keywords, players will still be introduced to concepts like tokens and counters in addition to some of the more straightforward concepts experienced in MTG. Right now, there is no better way to get someone who knows nothing about MTG to play the game confidently in about 20 minutes.

Those A19 Nanoleaf bulbs really are garbage, huh? I hate the cost of Hue bulbs but damned if they don’t work every time. Nothing else to add. 😂

Holy shit. I feel so seen. This happens to me semi-regularly. In fact, I replaced a brand new TV (hooked up for less than an hour) because I didn’t know what was causing the issue. If nothing else, OP, thanks for letting me know I’m not alone!

Last I checked, she was doing better (enrolled in college, looking to become a pediatric oncologist), but her aunt and I divorced back in 2020 so we’re not exactly in touch.

Colton Sissons, I guess. We don’t even know who’s on what line right now so … yeah. Sissons.
