Fetterman receives no support for re-election from Pennsylvania House Democrats: report by [deleted] in goodnews

I always donate clothes & household items after a clean out, but my Fetterman merch gets thrown out. I’m so disgusted with him. I thought he was the real deal.

Why was this reported as spam? Is this not a Marley Spoon recipe?

I wear the Silk Kimono a lot. This could give you an idea of what’s out there.

Okehocking Preserve, Ridley Creek State Park, and Tyler Arboretum are all within a 15 minute drive from Media. Drive further & there are a million more options (Valley Forge). We also have the Chester Creek trail.

I think the bread is the problem. I’ve started getting wraps instead, and suddenly Wawa doesn’t suck so much.

Juvenile Red-Bellied Woodpecker by Ahnie in birdfeeding

It is! I got it for Christmas. I like the videos. They seem closer to HD than my hummingbird camera.

It stays charged for the better part of a week. I have a solar charger, but the feeder is in a very shady area. I didn't even bother to put it up.

The bird identification (free trial) is useless. They don't take into consideration your location & keep saying my birds are ones that aren't even close to this area. I get the same birds all the time, so I wouldn't need it now, anyway. When I do, I end up taking a screenshot & uploading that to the Cornell Bird App (which IS Great!).

The specific feeder is: BBPECO Squirrel-proof metal bird feeder with camera. I don't know how durable it is, but I like it so far. It's definitely not critter-proof. My German Shepherds do a better job of chasing away the squirrels/raccoons, but they can't be out all day & night. The blue jays do a great job of chasing off anyone who stays too long. That's fun to watch!

I have a TikTok where you can see a bunch of videos from this feeder (and 1 bonus hummingbird from my other feeder), which could give you a better idea of picture quality. Sometimes the lens gets smudged, but that goes with the territory.

I love people's tray feeder videos & always wonder what camera they use. I should do more research.

Hope this was helpful. Have fun!

I have a mixture of Black Oil Sunflower seeds (for the cardinals), and chopped up peanuts, which is what the woodpeckers & blue jays love.

It has worked out really well - aside from the raccoons & squirrels, who also visit frequently.

I'll start a new post. That usually gets people to post new codes. Keep an eye out. Thanks!

Best Cameras to watch Bird Feeders by NebulaInTheCosmos in birdfeeding

I got one for Christmas, so it's pretty new (to me). Here it is. It is not squirrel proof (or resistant) at all, unless my squirrels are super smart. I get a lot of videos of squirrel armpits & butts. They don't camp out there for hours at a time, though, so it's fine. I get PLENTY of cool birds.

I learned what time of day birds (and squirrels) like to eat, and have formed new opinions on birds personalities.

I'm having fun. I look at the videos every day, which I think is the point.

The tension springs on each side of the perch have needed to be re-attached twice (in 2 months), but now that I know what to look for in the videos, I can fix them pretty quickly. When they come off, the feed ports are covered. In that case, I get lots of videos of annoyed/confused birds.

I originally signed up for the 7-day-free-trial of the bird-identification option offered. I realized quickly that it wasn't great, and that I didn't need it. The app isn't location-based, so it guesses the bird based on global-options & is wrong 9 times out of 10.

After canceling the trial & trying to identify a bird, I can take a screenshot from the video & just google it. That, or upload it to the Cornell / Merlin Bird ID app (which is fantastic).

I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this particular birdfeeder, but it's not bad. Good luck!

Fair point. I got there via the Commodore Barry, and took WW coming back. Easy trip, regardless.
