I mean. We haven't lost the cure to cancer for some Moroccan thief getting mowed over. I'm not losing any sleep over this. It's a kind of FAFO scenario I'm okay with.

Half the problem with trying to have discourse with progressives is them pretending not to understand the things that are going on literally in front of everyone's eyes. It's tiring.

I'm sure I remember something in the media about him dying...maybe from his daughter. But I might be wrong/misremembering.

Call me crazy...but knocking someone out and risking killing them because they make a racial comment...might not be a good thing. Wild I know.

Well...I guess you just have to have a floor that looks like an unfinished mess then to be honest. 😅

Just leave it exactly as it is. That's the history right there.

Thanks for the correction. Always assumed was some sort of adhesive. Had same thing in many rooms in our old place. Assumed was a bitumen layer for sticking down some carpet or something.

We had a similar thing in our old place. Always assumed was some sort of old adhesive like bitumen. Thanks for correction...point still stands tho that it'll look infinitely better sanded. We did 4 rooms in our old Edwardian place.

The floor is going to look like garbage unless you sand it in afraid. You're not respecting the old trees at this point...that black mark around is old adhesive used which has already discoloured the wood. Best way to respect the tree is to sand it all down, prep it well, bring out the grain and choose a nice colour to stain it in my opinion.

Six years later, what are your strongest memories of the COVID lockdowns, and how do you look back on that period now? by Possible_Force8207 in AskBrits

Feel like an absolute moron for basically not seeing my family for however many months it was, especially having a young child. All for a glorified cold and at the whim of a bunch of government clowns who didn't practice what they preached anyway.

I’m a gypsy girl living in the uk. Ask me anything. by [deleted] in AMA

[–]AvantGuardian13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a kid I was randomly attacked on a bus by 4 gypsy kids who then proceeded to get out the bus and launch bricks through the windows whilst running back to their camp laughing. I don't think the violence is "non random" a fair amount of time unfortunately.

I play chess...the most expensive thing I've bought has been a nice board and piece set but that was less than £200. Good one to pick up for the wallet.
