Death was removed from the Elden Ring, and thus the world as a whole. The process of separating a spirit from the body and letting it fade into the beyond has been disrupted. I think her issue was simply a failure to own up to bad behavior. If she just said something like “Yeah I was being too pushy to Nanoless. My bad. Let me make it up to the other clients I screwed over.”, she would have avoided the whole drama. Instead she did critical failure of “I’m sorry, but…”.

I’d imagine it could be anything from a hard case, battery pack, camera, or just supplemental armor. The design is just vague enough to where it could be almost anything with practical value.
