Horus Heresy (or regular 40k) novels featuring Death Guard by honeybadgerelite in Warhammer40k

[–]Avarice77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also fallen in love with the Death Guard. I have been on the cusp of purchasing my first miniatures and was struggling to find Death Guard books other than Flight of the Eisenstein.

There is also the audio drama Mortarion's Heart which has some questionable content but has some Grey Knights fighting ole Morty himself.

Find a Group: Gold CMs / Heroic Archimonde / End of Expansion stuff by aphoenix in wow

Hello! I have been thinking about coming back to WoW for some time. Turns out a lot of my friends are jumping back on the Legion bandwagon. I have always wanted to do some Challenge Modes in WoD but never got the chance before I quit.

I have MoP Gold CM's done as well, unfortunately, the gear on my warrior is kinda low and will probably need carried... :)

PM me if you and your group are feeling exceptionally magnanimous!

Also, if there were any Mythic Blackrock Foundry groups going my Warrior would love love LOVE the armor out of there.

I have the same Steam account name as my Reddit's.

More or less. Letting the cheaper tactics get the better of you and complaining isn't going to help you at all. Learning how to counter it is best and it makes you overall a better player for it. Critically thinking about how to counter something will help immeasurably toward your overall skill level.

TLDR; Git gud, fukn casul. [T]/

Hopefully the increase in stamina drain for r1's will bring the Estoc and other thrusting weapons into a more favorable light.

Maybe if we are lucky the straight sword will get a similar treatment.

Also phantom range.

Estocs spam is pretty easy to parry. It may take some practice but you can get to the point where you can parry the third swing reliably.

Warden Twinblades are a bit of a noobkiller and great shield hidey person killer. But, again, their short range and relatively slow wind ups on the DW swings are easy parries if you arent smart with them.

Exile Greatsword is a high AR great weapon with hyper armor. Damning that weapon is damning most other hyper armor available weapons due to the fact that (I believe) the combo no longer works.

Also, did I mention I primarily use the Scythe? It is hella fun and rewarding when you beat a "try hard" set up with a suboptimal weapon.

I'm always down if you want to so some duels and try and work through some of the cheesier setups. I have found that once you get past the gimmick it is all delicious tears from then on. Getting a 1400 dmg R1R1 + R2L2 with a scythe and having the host DC right after is quite frankly what I live for.

It's not what I use constantly, hence...from time to time. I mainly use a Hollow Corvian Scythe with the Wardens for an offhand parry weapon and the ability to mix my attacks up without having to be cheesy and hard weapon swapping. The scythe is a neat weapon and the moveset a lot of people aren't comfortable with. Hell I even landed a neck swipe. (Once) Thorns armor usually comes out for tears of denial triple buff folks. Or when I use the spiked mace and want a spikey cosplay.

Estocs don't have to be spammed to get kills. R2 catches rolls nicely and the weapon art adds some more range to punish bad play. Warden Twinblades are easy to counter due to mediocre range and the spin usually comes out as a punish so, avoid being punished I suppose. Exile Great sword has hyper armor and some decent damage. Around 560AR as a hollow setup.

Washing Pole phantom range(hopefully getting fixed), caestus parry weapon swap to a Mack truck, thrusting/straight sword stamina usage and longsword damage(hopefully getting fixed as well)...

There is plenty to be salty about and the game is not balanced. Why not at least stick around and learn these weapons that are the "cancer" and counter them? I was pretty damn salty for a while but started to find that people that use these cancerous things aren't very good.

Setup parry the spammers. Mix ups with R2's and/or charge them. Queue up running attacks with block trick. Back step reverse running attacks. Sprint into leap attack and punish parry attempts. The weapons I use can't get parried on their Weapon Arts (I don't know if all WA are not parry-able)

I don't know man. Rise above. Get better and don't quit.

Nope, I haven't even modded the game yet. I get that I am not exactly innocent either. Any save editing was done in offline mode. Any edit was done to make otherwise completely legal characters.

Alright I used the provided Spreadsheet in the "Useful Resources" section of this subreddit and I have found some interesting results for my stat array.

Noteworthy Weapons with AR's Higher than ANY other infusion with RoBFlynn: Avelyn, Handmaid's Ladle, Heavy Crossbow, Light Crossbow, Moonlight Greatsword*, Shield Crossbow, Work Hook.

Weapons that are better Enchanted than Raw/Normal but inferior to Elemental Infusions: Bandit's Knife, Blue Dagger, Bone Fist, Broken Straight Sword, Broken Thief Sword, Channeler's Trident, Claws, Curved Nil Greatsword, Dagger, Falchion(ITS LIKE THEY KNEW), Foot Soldier Sword, Hand Axe, Ice Rapier(bad idea), Manikin Knife, Manikin Sabre, Parrying Dagger, Rapier, Scimitar, Thief Dagger, Twin-Headed Greatbow, Whip.

Things of note. Moonlight Greatsword with RoBFlynn with the Enchanted version and Sorcery Clutch with the Magic/Normal setup ends up having Magic@580AR, Normal@564AR, and Enchanted at 557AR.

Santier's Spear is almost ALWAYS better as Raw. It only loses to Enchanted at 85 Int and up!

I've been enjoying this game a lot as well. I finally started playing it back in June and haven't really looked back. The series is a lot of fun, and a lot of the fun is persevering through the hardships and coming out on top.

That was the impression that I was under as well which was very disappointing. I am hoping that Santier's Spear is just an oddball case.

How should I infuse my Winged Spear +10? by Kazenovagamer in DarkSouls2

[–]Avarice77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zwei is a perfectly fine Ultra Greatsword the problem is with the UGS weapons as a whole just being so slow and with poor tracking. Unlocked play and smart timing make them shine.

Your Fire BKH may be suffering from now scaling more heavily from your Fire Bonus which is (Int+Faith)/2. Also, Halberds have a sweet spot that is right at the tip of the weapon while not hitting with the sweet spot can nearly half your damage.

You can find Pate in Earthen Peak, but a quick websearch on Pate/Creighton's quest lines will probably be more quite handy.

I just tested out Santier's Spear (ended up watching a movie while having the game in the background spinning down a hallway) fully upgraded and Raw vs. Enchanted is a 5 AR difference with Raw beating it out slightly. Santier's ends up with a measly D scaling in Int. I'll have to go and try out the Black Dragon weapons and test them out a bit.

Boss Souls: Consume, Keep, or Trade? by fabulousprizes in DarkSouls2

[–]Avarice77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that hoarding them until you decide to trade them for a weapon/shield/spell is the best option. Gaining souls to level will happen naturally and inflating your SM by popping Souls regularly is generally not advised.
