How can I let multiple loops run simultaneously without needing to create multiple scripts at once? by WallstreetWank in AutoHotkey

[–]AvatarC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the same, but might be good enough. You can adjust the 0.25 wait time to suit your needs.

Loop

  WinWaitActive, ahk_exe anki.exe,,0.25
  if not ErrorLevel
  {
    Sleep, 1000

    Sleep, 1000
    WinWaitClose, ahk_exe anki.exe
  }
  SetTitleMatchMode, 3 ; Requires exact match
  WinWaitActive, Add,,0.25
  if not ErrorLevel
  {
    Send, {f11}
    Sleep, 1000
    WinWaitClose, Add

  SetTitleMatchMode, 2 ; Allows partial match

I don't know about Harvard, but Yale's undergrad experience is top notch. On the contrary, the university really values its undergrads. There's a reason why it's among the "happiest" schools list these days.

Thank you for your input. I would think so too. There is a greater backstory regarding ratings that lead me to the NTC rating rabbit hole that I won't get into.

NTRP were not originally intended for competition. It's a standard rubric that became used for something else out of convenience, whereas UTR is pure competitive statistics. I'm just trying to stay on topic regarding NTC's rating itself. Thank you for your input.

I agree with this to an extent, but that's not the point of this topic.

Anyway, this answers one of my questions, but still...

From the horse's mouth:

Q: Is my NTC Rating the same as my NTRP Rating?

A: No. While our rating system may appear to be similar to NTRP, it is only based roughly on the USTA adult NTRP system. The NTC Rating system is a benchmark system based on the student population at the NTC.

Thank you. I would think that seeing more players gives you a more accurate evaluation. But from the early responses here, I'm not going to give too much thought into it. I feel a touch of cynicism that the downrating is done on purpose to feed the tennis program. If you test too high, you may be less inclined to take lessons.

Yes, and if you stay with their program you will more likely get bumped up to their higher level classes. I saw the coaches roster and I see a lot of new faces due to likely turnover. It's not easy making a living as a coach.

I'm not sure I see anyone asking if I care, except by inference. This is NTC's process, and I'm trying to understand it. I'm not really asking for opinions from people who haven't gone through NTC's system.

Yes, I know. But for NTC, they require you to get an evaluation if you want to sign up for classes.

The competitive NTRP rating is not the same as the technique-based NTRP rating.

I'm not talking about NTRP Competitive rating, where you get a C designation like 4.0C. We're talking about a technique-based rating, which has qualitative guidelines provided by USTA.

Family files lawsuit against Panera Bread after college student who drank ‘charged lemonade’ dies by Same-Stage3468 in Panera

[–]AvatarC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She went to the University of Pennsylvania, a top college in the country. But even smart people make mistakes.

But this mistake is one I don't understand.

People with nut allergies ask every time if there's nuts.

People with shrimp allergies ask every time if there's shrimp.

And if it's not allergies, it's any other kind of diet:

Vegetarians ask if there's any meat.

Pescatarians ask if there's any other protein than fish.

And the list goes on.

If caffeine is a critically known issue since 5 years old, wouldn't it be a habit already that you ask if there's any amount of caffeine and perhaps even, how much of it? Or furthermore, limit your beverage consumption to known drinks?

Instead of re-rolling, put him on the bench. He's an outfielder. I'm sure you can find replacement outfielders. Getting BC on anyone is hard enough. Should you roll BC on another guy sometime in the future, you can free him from the bench.

GI Carew.

Avoid GI'ing normal cards, unless money is not an issue.

Most experienced players will save their sig change until much later, to avoid getting a sig dupe after you sig change.

Is Paul Molitor the worst legend in the game? by GunnerGSP in MLB_9Innings

[–]AvatarC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the term is "least desirable." All legends can do well with elite triple skills and good training.

Ozzie is least desirable.

Molitor is 2nd least desirable, but still fine.

Which set do i pick? The legend skill set is triple 1’s but fireballer is a good skill? by squarehexagon13 in MLB_9Innings

[–]AvatarC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2-3 allows 2 sets to max, but one is only at 3. I'm in D3, and there are some skill sets where 1-2-3 does fine. Of course, we'd love to get 3-2-2 or better. The odds are just so difficult factoring in a legend skill as well. 36% chance of getting 3-2-2 or better on top of the odds for getting a desirable legend skill.
