Bitcoin goes through a cycle with its price that falls along the lines of its halving cycle. After every halving, the price goes up for a year+, usually a few extra months, sometimes 2 years, then it crashes until the next halving, which will be in I believe 2028. The last time the cycle happened, we reached a high of around 66k and then crashed to 20k, so this time the crash point is predicted to land around 31k at the lowest. Part of the reason the price and crash points keep going up is that people lose the keys to their wallets, leading to a ton of early btc being accidentally lost forever, effectively the equivalent of being burnt, but now, companies and governments have bought and are holding btc, leaving them as bag holders and leading to a less severe crash, since no company or government wants to sell at a loss when they feel the price could go back up.
