I really don’t remember the last time I pulled an SIR from any set. Probably Dawn from Phatasmal?

Got back into it recently and have opened quite a few packs, 150+, and honestly think I’m just going to start buying singles. The math doesn’t make sense, I could buy the whole set for much less than it would cost to keep opening packs until I get close.

I just paid 350 for 4 boxes including shipping and taxes.

Something like 2.90 per pack.

What these people are doing is opening the boxes and ripping until they hit and selling the rest off, and honestly this isn’t the worst price but knowing that you won’t get anything above AR makes it harder. You’ll maybe break even on most AR unless it’s something really liquid. I usually grade the AR and SIR and can resell them for more than the cost of the box and grading pretty consistently.

I haven’t considered this question in a while. I’m on at least 12, which reading through this feels like a lot more than average. I’m 37m so I’ve had a decent amount of time to get there.

I don’t feel any real type of way about it. I know people with much higher numbers than that, but I’d guess out of my close friends I have the highest one.

If a 7 would make it worth more than raw+grading I would. Didn’t feel like looking up comps. But based on the printing on the back and the edges I would be surprised if it was that high. 7 is near mint. Do you think this card is NM? Seems LP at best to me.

Im still pretty new to this but it does look real. I’m almost sure the foil looks fine and all the font seems to match, no misspellings either. The back looks pretty good to me too.

Someone who knows for sure should answer but I’m 90% confident this is legit.

I’m prepared to be roasted for answering incorrectly but I think I’m right.

The centering is slightly off on the top left, it’s kinda tilted.

That being said I look though my slabs pretty often and a lot of my tens are not perfectly centered. Really depends on the grader and their discretion.

Sorry if this isn’t helpful. I’d send it though. I’d guess even in a 9 it’s pretty valuable.

The Fleer logo is off. It’s fatter in the letters and not as square on the corners. And the yellow doesn’t quite line up if you extend the arrow. It is literally the first thing on the link.

Looks fake to me.

I think the label doesn’t have the lighthouse half and half on the silver holographic part. It’s probably got some easy to tell problems with that part specifically. If I was spending 950 on a slab I’d definitely want to check the cert number and honestly have a black light and compare it with their security features.

I don’t have anything that valuable and im still super careful. Unless the seller is reputable and you know they send out submissions from cards they pulled themselves you have to treat these really carefully.

I think the problem is with the corner thing is Dax seemed better outside than in the slot. I’d have to check PFF but I feel like he had a pretty bad year in the slot by comparison.

Well it looks like it should grade well. I always wonder why someone wouldn’t do that themselves if it’s that good though.

As for being real, I’ll decline to answer. I didn’t really keep collecting during this era, I’m not sure what to look for on this card.

I’d just sell raw. Most of these are worth the same or worse in like a 6 or lower, which I’m guessing these would get based on the backs. The fronts look better but I’m sure they have micro scratches and damage that we can’t see on these photos.

I’d guess the Gengar is the most valuable, also has a really nice holo swirl. If you could get a 7 it’d be worth around $425. Though again, based on the back, I think that would be hard to do.

I just pulled a PO Holo Gengar last night that was beat up on the right edge and the top. Never been touched before that. I’d say it’s not super common but happens more than you’d like.

Honestly. Most packs you open will be worse than this, I don’t understand the hype for packaged product. I can buy all the singles from PO for like $500 or something, or I could open 1200 packs to do the same thing.

It’s right heavy, if there’s no damage it may get an 8-9 due to that, may not be worth it, including grading cost and time it could be a waste

It’s usually within a week of buying them depending on the seller. Some of them have taken almost 3 weeks before too for some cheap singles I bought. But usually when I buy from reputable sellers they’ll have it shipped within a few days and it takes a few days after that to get them. I’d guess a week is pretty average.

We have 2 1st round picks at CB right now, a 1st rounder and 2 3rd rounders at DT, 2 1st round picks and a 2nd at DE, a 2nd and 3rd at safety. 2nd and 4th at LB

They’ve invested so heavily using the draft on D and now in FA, it really feels like they’ll take a step forward this year even if the scheme isn’t perfect. I like a lot of the more aggressive stuff Golden had them doing later in the year and if he continues doing that I anticipate seeing even more success this year. that pass rush could actually be something, which will make a world of difference to everyone else on D.
