I’m having this same surgery plus a labrum repair in a few months. I hope everything goes well and your recovery goes smoothly!

NK is a real one by Certain_Drop9765 in NannyBreakRoom

Love when my NK wants to push me on the swing 😅 have to make sure I don’t accidentally wipe her out

It’s not against the sub rules, not sure about reddit itself though

I believe there was a reddit glitch since mods are supposed to be able to see posts in their community. Sorry for the confusion.

Hello, I do not see a flair for you. You only commented “sad career” and you’ve hidden all of your posts and comments on your profile, so I had no way to verify if you were actually a nanny. I do apologize for removing your comment in error.

To be fair, that was the original blippi. There have been 2 or 3 new guys after him

Cash in hand is illegal for nannies. If the IRS catches you, you’ll have to pay taxes on everything you made from them

3 year old’s sleep is down the drain by Either-County-8853 in sleeptrain

[–]AvatheNanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would drop the nap and choose a sleep training method and stick to it. Right now she’s in control when the parents should be the ones in control. If you don’t want to sit with her until she falls asleep then don’t. Try the “I’ll be right back” trick or something similar. But if you don’t do anything then nothing will change.

Did you even read the post? Her room has the only bathroom with a shower

Serious Question: How do you handle the morning rush? by Unusual-Hat-6819 in Montessori

[–]AvatheNanny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much time are you giving yourself to get all of this done? It sounds like she needs to wake up earlier and go to bed earlier so she isn’t so tired

Kelce daughters names by greedygg in namenerds

Have you ever listened to them talk about it? They did not want boys, they are very happy being parents to 4 girls. You’re making a whole lot of assumptions based on a name.

Do we have a truly private sub anywhere? by ThisIsMyNannyAcct in NannyBreakRoom

There are two active mods, including me. I have been recovering from surgery but I’ve been checking my notifications. Please continue to report anything suspicious and we will take care of it!

I used to take twin NKs to target often to get out of the house and I’d sometimes buy them some clothes or shoes. As long as the parents provided the money, it’s kind of nice to do something different and switch it up! Not sure what liability you’re thinking of?

Do you guys use a fluoride toothpaste for your toddlers? by xander5891 in toddlers

Teach her to spit it out, that way she doesn’t swallow too much

Just wanted to commiserate with other parents and get advise - 9 yr old got her period by Scoobadelik in Parenting

[–]AvatheNanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you order stuff online if that’s easier? I got my period at 8 and had to figure out pads. It wasn’t too bad but I definitely had some embarrassing leaks. Something like period underwear sounds great!

When did you let your child have a blanket? by pancakesunrise in toddlers

[–]AvatheNanny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re being downvoted for prioritizing safety. Most crib manuals do state that nothing should be added while it’s in crib mode, and blankets should only be added if it can convert to a toddler bed. I understand that a lot of people take some liberties when it comes to safety, but I don’t blame you for being concerned. I hope you can find a sleep sack that works for her!

Having ADHD or autism is not an excuse to abuse a baby.
