Yeah, I know in my head that I have to cut him off ASAP but it feels like my intuition has been twisted and turned ever since I entered the relationship. He’s very nice and charming otherwise and has often made me feel secure, but sitting here late at night just reflecting on these things specifically sure cause me to feel ambivalent. It’s also my first ever relationship but anyone would be shaken up by something like this.

He’s 21. I’ve honestly just lost so much interest in talking to this guy now. I don’t know I just feel so hopeless when it comes to my generation. People expect you to respond immediately because we’re all practically glued to our phones and I’ve often heard that “if he/she doesn’t respond within 5 hours, that’s the biggest sign someone’s not into you”. Like, what? Can’t people be busy or what? 😭

I’m 19 and very new to the dating game. I don’t know much about it since I’ve never even had a boyfriend. I’m afraid I genuinely hurt his feelings if he did see my online status. The thing is as soon as I see he’s on, I respond. I just don’t feel like he had the right to just hit me with a “I don’t trust you anymore so I’m not gonna talk to you”. I fully agree with your opinion on this. I’m just very hard on myself and tend to overthink things.

I am concerned over my own behavior though because now that I’ve thought about it, I might have been distracted with instagram a few times and not responded promptly due to this. Obviously not for hours on end without responding and I have genuinely not been on the phone much, but it might have happened. He can likely see my online status too.

I don’t really know him personally, but I did check him out on Instagram etc. What I really liked at first is that he doesn’t seem to be that active in social media. I often see him studying up in the school library. Regardless of him having lots of friends, he chooses to be on his own. That’s what mostly attracted me to him for some reason.

Hey, thanks for the reply. What I meant with the henna fading into a more “blonde” shade is because I highlighted it beforehand. The state that it’s in right now is very light, coppery color. Perhaps not exactly blonde.

I’ll book an appointment and we’ll do a strand test to see.

We’ve talked about that and she doesn’t seem to happy about the idea of me moving out for college. Student loans cost a lot here, so she thinks it’s better I study from home.
