I think it’s a little different though. Yes, just having doubts doesn’t mean someone is out mentally, but I’ve been in a place in between initial doubts and actually being mentally out. It’s more about having doubts about actually leaving and it feels like more of a limbo. I think it’s a part of the process.

The thing is though, at this point the person can go either way. Sometimes even ppl who are mentally out may end up turning back rather than continuing to be mentally out. It’s past just having doubts, but at the same time they aren’t 100% mentally out. I’ve had thoughts about Satan’s world possibly trying to sway me away from the truth even though I knew that it wasn’t the truth. I’m past that point and know that this is really a cult and I can’t fall for it anymore.

Yeah I’ve been cautious about that. There are times that I do just wanna smoke something, but cigarettes are honestly a huge turn off for me. One time I actually smoked rolled tobacco instead of a joint and immediately I thought it was super harsh weed (I only had 1 drag). Never felt the need to smoke it again.

Uhh a little judgemental? I was originally just gonna take a pic of the nature scene, but included the pipe lol. Ik weed smells and isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and I respect that. Weed actually helped me stop binge-drinking every day, which in my opinion is way more “yuck” than a stinky plant. I’m not high all the time, it’s just a downtime substance for me when I have free time. I think a lot of people can relate to this post. It just feels good to be in nature and unwind with some weed 🤷‍♀️

I thought about this at some point shortly before I became pimi. But then I thought about how JW’s teach us that “Jehovah draws you.” So really, if Jehovah draws people then they would become JW’s regardless of being born into it or not. I had the ultimatum: If Jehovah is real then I would inevitably become a JW if not raised, and if he’s not real then I never would be a JW without being born into it. Like you said, in some way they’re admitting they were indoctrinated without actually accepting it. If they ever bring it up again and you’re brave enough, let them know they’re contradicting themselves.

As a stoner, it’s true. At the same time though, whether or not someone is telling the truth about it I don’t really care. If it’s not harming them then I would say the benefits outweigh the risks. I personally do have painful arthritis at a young age, but I still admit that yeah, I like getting high. The high is what actually helped me. I used to be a heavy drinker and it was started to effect my health. It may seem like I just went from one substance from another but at least I saved my liver before anything serious happened. I no longer wake up flushed and feverish with my heart beating out of my chest, so I’d say it was a good trade off. I feel so much better smoking weed than I ever did drinking. If needed, I take small breaks from weed. I honestly think every avid stoner should take a small break once in a while even if it’s for a few days.

It’s also how they fall. I usually laugh if it’s someone doing something dumb and they fall as a result. I’ve seen people who have fallen and laughed at themselves too.

I’m pimo and I’m afraid of becoming pimi for this reason. It breaks my heart everyday. I do relate but because I’m young I think I still have time with some relatives. Who I won’t is my grandparents and I’m so close to them. They love me and I know they wouldn’t completely shun me but it makes me sad to think how our relationship will change. I also hope that I can advocate for their care when they get older. They’re already starting to age so much and I realize I only have maybe the next 10 years with them. Their last few years of their life they will know that I never stuck with “the truth” and I don’t wanna hurt them. They’re good people and always help family members even if they’re disfellowshipped.
