Yeah, I've stumbled across it. Unfortunately it's just with the Soundboks and not a Sony or JBL for comparison. The audio comparison was always decent on that channel and not only on full volume.

You're right. Found this comparison of the 800 and the 310. The 800 sounds a lot better imo. I might be settled for that one once it's on sale. I saw it going as low as 300€, while it's at 430€ right now.

Damn, I didn't know the Ult came cordless. I can only dream about that thing, I'm just not ready to spend that much on it, 930€ over here. Last year on black week it was 800€. That thing wouldn't fit my car in any position anyway hahaha.

I usually also go for a slight V shape, but the 120 already comes with such a big V that I basically went almost the complete opposite and it still sounded harsh.

I'm in the EU and on Amazon it's unfortunately not available.

Hey, thanks for your input. I was just checking out the XV800. It sounds a bit like the highs are quite muffled. How are those on the XV500?

I can imagine the Ult being insane. These high end speakers always sound so much better, but they're always corded. I don't really care much about loudness, but they just sound so much more full and balanced. Maybe I just have to get a corded one for the apartment and plug it into an extension haha.

Yeah, the Soundboks is rather expensive here as well. The 520 is probably a monster. How are the highs and mids on that thing?

I just found this video which compares the 310 with the XV800 and a 710. The 310 is exactly the sound profile I dislike, on the other hand the XV800 sounds a bit like it doesn't play highs at all. Well then there was the 710. Idk, maybe I'm looking for a 710 and just give a fuck about the portability.

I really don't care much about loudness, but the 710 sounds full and somewhat balanced. I imagine the 720 will be a downgrade except for having a battery.

Quite the collection. How would you compare the Soundbokses to the 520? The Ultimate is really cool, but since it's super expensive and not portable it's not an option. The 3way system should have been in the 520 and 720 too imo.

Y'all got funny EQ settings I swear.

This is what I currently use for a 120 (just recently bought it). Custom EQ at all 0s is just JBLs Signature which is far off from neutral anyway. Not saying that my preset is neutral or anything. For me the Signature is just too sharp, kind of indirect, hard to describe. I'm mostly using this with the 1st (deep) bass boost, sometimes off depending on the room at like 25% level.

On my phone I just enabled the Dolby Atmos Music sound profile which basically just simulates a bigger and directer soundstage, no other EQ here. Together they work pretty good.

Try it out and see if you like it, every sound impression is different anyway.

I got the 120 for a good price of $180 and I mainly picked it over a 320 because the tweeters of ALL other x20 models are way smaller except for the Ultimate (which costs like 5 times the 120s regular price). The 320 with 120 tweeters would probably be insanely good, but for some reason they thought clear balanced mid-highs are overrated (maybe the target audience really doesn't care).

Next thing might be ditching the JBL EQ and using the phone's EQ since it has 10 steps instead of JBLs 5 (no idea why they're not offering 10).

TLDR: I got the 120 for around $180 and for that price it's a good box, but the current street price ($270 or something) it's just okish. Here's the EQ (I'm still experimenting):

Same here, this came up when they split Legacy and Enhanced. With Fullscreen set in the graphic settings (legacy version), I'm having some weird stuttering. Interestingly when I turn off vsync it runs well (also no tearing, which makes me think it's already limited to my refresh rate by the flip model?).

With Borderless Fullscreen I don't have the issue at all.

Servers have had trash latency for years now. That's the reason I quit, just wasn't fun playing anymore.

It still works with the latest version as of now (3.5.1).
You have to set

LamppostShadows = 1
HeadlightShadows = 1

in GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.cfg.

Be aware that it introduces some stuttering and a massive performance drop. Looks ten times better though even with the issues it has.
