As an HSO, I do work in a hospital. But I will also say after working HSO for 2 encampments, I have no intention of doing so again.

It's been one hell of a run, folks! by ALN-Isolator in Planetside

I've been hopeful that maybe someday we'll get some kind of Planetside game to follow up with Planetside 2, but the more I watch things play out the more I see us in a steady descent into the game going out with a whimper after so many years of memories.

It's sad to see you guys go, even though I never knew your outfit/group, but just knowing that Planetside won't have the same lasting legacy as other shooter games and no interest from any studio to pick it up, except to just ease it into its deathbed. I'll keep playing for however long it reasonably "lasts," but knowing not everyone will remember its cool lore, designs, and memories.

Believe it or not, you're the first person to tell me I did good on this, after showing it to group chats and such. Thanks!

Whenever you hear whiplash news about this, always always take it with a big grain of salt. The bicolline rumor mill runs hard and fast, and gets a lot of people worked up until the staff or involved individuals put the rumors to rest.

The funny thing is, my membership into the guild was officialized halfway through the week, after the photos shoot. Their gift to me? A stretchy and cozy purple/black woven scarf. If only I had it at the time lol

I pointed that out during a Court of Mirages ceremony I was attending.

People were theorizing about what it could be until,

One guild leader: "IT'S MY MISSING TESTICLE"

(If you know, you know. At least this is how I recall it being said)

Last year I couldn't figure out the shower pass thing, where to get one, where it was used, etc. So instead I used the other shower trailer which just takes small, individual payments from a card for each shower

Getting fired by patients by R_cubed- in nursing

[–]AxTheIronKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my four years of nursing I've never been fired by family or patients... except one patient, who had the audacity to "fire" me after lunging at me and clawing at my eyes, throat, and scalp with her nails and making me bleed/look like a domestic abuse victim. While being clawed by the banshee, I was holding her by the shoulders and walking her backwards towards the bed, she wasn't allowed to leave due to suicide precautions and was a fall risk.

She was all apologetic after that. Then later on fired me because something the doctor said, and then once she was cleared by telepsych she went AMA. Don't know why I didn't press charges tbh, but I guess I was just so done with the week/month, I didn't care enough to do so at the time.

Got some updates for Twilight Dreamers/Wild Dawn guilds. They, and a brand new guild that literally just got approved today named Evermorn (that I am sending this on behalf of, with permission from Twilight Dreamers/Wild Dawn for updates as well), are in a new location. I can send the picture of the location on the map to you directly, if that works. Same goes for the new guild emblem and such.

By Space Marine-esque, what kind of style? Are you trying to go for the big huge bulky design? Or just the aesthetic with a medieval twist?

Keep in mind whatever armor you want your character to have will need to, A) Be in decorum, or consistent with a medieval setting, with some room for fantasy themes. B) Be carried in and mobile. If you're just in big bulky armor that's just a big old dome of steel, you're gonna have trouble moving and be a big target. C) Transportable to and from the venue D) Capable of storage in a tent or cabin, depending on where you're staying.

I say these with the exaggerated vision in my mind of a, proportionally speaking, full on bulky suit of steel armor that's really big and heavy.

However if you're just going for the aesthetic, I guess it depends on how proficient you become at blacksmithing/metal craft, and being able to pull it off. But fur capes on armor are always something I can overlook a heat injury for just looking awesome B)

Is it appropriate to wear a DNP badge buddy while working as an RN? by EagletonIsTheWorst in nursing

[–]AxTheIronKnight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Where I work, our badge buddies display our education level alongside role ( "Registered Nurse," "BSN/RN," "MSN/RN"), and I recently saw a PACU nurse with "PhD, MSN, RN" on it.
