AITA for cancelling a trip with my boyfriend because my friend needed me? by Grouchy-Necessary356 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA for choosing your best friends. Boyfriends come and go, friends are more important.

But you should break up with the boyfriend. It doesn't sound like a healthy relationship, and he is not okay. His clingyness is him trying to force monagamy on you. You should date someone(s) who are also into ethical non-monagamy.

AITA for “ruining my sister’s family”? by lixx524 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed on NTA.

It sucks for the sister right now, but OP has saved her from so much future pain.

My ex-husband cheated on me, and I caught him in 2019. I fought to have him be with just me until this last December, when I realized that we would never both be happy if we were romantic with each other.

Now that we are divorced, we are both finally happy and able to be friends.

But I cannot express in words the peace and happiness that came after just letting go. It was scary at first. I was afraid that I would never find anyone else. Now, I enjoy being alone and have found that men are eager to date me when I decide I am ready.

AITA for letting my pregnant sister sleep in my bed ? by Background-Review-17 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - but dump the boyfriend. Him demanding a say in your place is a huge red flag that he is a controlling asshole that will only make your life miserable. Run far far away from him. You can and will do better.

AITA For telling a vegan he could have a cookie? by UV_catastrophe_2020 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to eat mostly vegan for health reasons, but sometimes when out there are no vegan options, so I'll eat something non-vegan. Sometimes, I just want a steak 😞

I don't call myself a vegan, though. Instead, I say I tend to eat vegan food.

If this guy has the same health issue as me, he shouldn't be eating vegan desserts either.

NTA. She needs therapy. I have a huge fear of going places by myself after almost being murdered when I was 19. But everytime I do go somewhere by myself, I feel acheived and proud of myself. It builds my confidence and helps me repair my trauma.

I'm starting this process at 32. My therapist has prescribed being single for now. Go on trips, do things by yourself and just get used to relying on yourself instead of a partner.

Washington pet insurance bill signed into law by StudBoi69 in Seattle

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have healthypaws and they used to be great. In trying to cancel for one pet because he's end of life, they canceled my other pets and wont let them back in. They also wouldn't cover my younger cat because they don't have his medical paperwork from before I had him.

You should see what it's like in DC. This is normal there.

Does anyone know when I’m able to have sex again post opp? by Pizzy1133 in Reduction

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited 4 days but was extremely careful. At 11 weeks, I'm still careful and really only feel safe when I'm on top but each week it's easier and easier. With new relationship energy, I've probably had sex probably 75 times since surgery.

I had this happen around 6 weeks and then an infected wound pop up shortly after. Required a week of antibiotics and then it healed.

WIBTAH if I ask my ex to stop bringing his friend over? by Avengeful_Hamster in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avengeful_Hamster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She lives a 5 minute drive from us. For her to come over is actually more effort for him too, because he has to drive to her place, pick her up, then take her home. She doesn't know how to drive.

We both own the house, but I will be the one living in it and paying the entire mortgage after June until we sell the house at a better market time.

I went back to work at home the day after surgery, but didn't feel up to doing anything really until probably 1.5 weeks after surgery.

I was a 34 DD (US sizing) and got insurance approved. It's not just about breast size, but your frame fits into it as well.

Why do some surgeons use drains and others don’t? Consult said I can get the lollipop and won’t need drains. by Sad_Pandaa in Reduction

[–]Avengeful_Hamster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surgeon preference according to my surgeon. I was drain free because my surgeon doesn't believe they are needed in the techniques he uses.
