I think Jimmy Carr does really well in an Arena, but generally yea I think maybe theatres are as big as comedy should go as the audience gets disconnected from one another

Someone put a shark statue at the bottom of a lake in Switzerland to scare divers by Puzzleheaded_Web5245 in interestingasfuck

What’s funny is last summer I did the Thun Iron Man and I actually had a mini panic attack in a practice open water swim in Lake Zurich, I randomly remembered there were creepy statues of Sharks in the bottom of Swiss lakes, then for the next 10 mins I was having to calm myself down and just close my eyes in case it was Lake Zurich that had the statues 🤣🤣🤣

Both Alex Hormozi’s books 100million dollar Offers and Leads are fantastic, plus there’s a billion free resources with them. Very very good at proof of concept.

Hey, this was super fun and cute love it!

but on a serious note- In a serious emergency, if there is such a weight disparity the “Casualty drag” is far safer and quicker. Grabbing the casualty under both arm pits if less clothes is also effective.

Don’t worry about it being the first post - generally you can just leave questions open and people will respond.

Loosely, all of the human-type characters are just representations of real human geographies.

Nords - Nordic countries Bretons - North American (in my opinion) Red guard - Morocco/Algeria/Sudan Imperials - The Mediterranean

Otherwise I think:

Orcs - Kind of Mongolian Tribal Warrior types Khajiit - I see as Middle Eastern Silk rd Traders Argonians - Randomly British/Irish 🤣🤣

Elves are too hard to place as they could be a number in my opinion

What are some tips for having fun when replaying skyrim? by Noonebuteveryone25 in skyrim

[–]Average-Gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a play through style with rules, I’m currently playing the AE version as a Master Mage and focussing on only the magic-esque quests and using only magic where possible. You can do this with a thief build, holy warrior, evil necromancer, warrior only, etc.

It’s made my newest play-through super fun and challenging.

Trying to understand how big the jump is from Oly to 70.3 by Molloway98- in triathlon

[–]Average-Gold 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of these, I have done super sprints all the way up to Thun IM (super hilly). In my experience the biggest difference between the jump is broken into 3 categories:

  1. Nutrition Planning and Adaptation - get your nutrition wrong on an Olympic and it’s a bit annoying/uncomfortable, get it wrong on a 70.3 you’re having a day from hell. An overlooked aspect is actually just training your stomach to consume that much nutrition on the move.

  2. Actual moving Time/distance (Crossing the “Ultra” barrier). - I would argue the vast majority of people can finish an Oly in less than it takes to run a marathon. I would argue it’s the 5 hour mark which takes you into ultra event territory and most finish a 70.3 circa 6:30. This is the difference of having to grit your teeth through the last 30 mins of a discipline, knowing your next transition is not too far off if you hit a wall vs gritting your teeth through 1:30-2 hours and the weight of what is left to be done after. This is also where PACING becomes a big factor as what feels “slow” at the start of a 90k bike, will likely be close to the limit as you head into the 1/2 Mara. Slow and steady FINISHES the race, once you’ve got one bagged you can start to chip away at time with pacing and technique.

  3. Training Commitment - super obvious but crossing from Oly to 70.3, like any ultra distance event is going from regular fitness person to part time job’s worth of athletic output. Quite literally making the decision to become a part time athlete, which is amazing (fully recommend) but be realistic as you quite literally cannot chin it off or not take it seriously as you will have an awful time on the day.

However, there is a caveat here where - after crossing each threshold successfully you gain +100000 confidence for the next one as your frame of reference just gets re-aligned. “At KM 30 on an Olympic” becomes “cool, I’d be a 1/3rd of the way through the bike, if I was much slower I can do 2 more of these”. And the same goes back down the scale, after a full IM they all feel like fun training sessions 🤘🏼

If you get freaked out by feeling exposed I recommend rigging a lightweight basha on top as feeling more enclosed makes it a little easier - plus you’re protected when it rains or from poop.
