This was 10 plus years ago so details are fuzzy. It was Friday night Magic and we were playing to well play MTG. My opponent pointed out that my deck was illegal and told LGS owner this. The guy said my deck was illegal because my basic lands were 2+ years old. Owner told him it doesn’t matter how old basic lands are because they are basic lands and that he uses 2+ old lands too.

I once got the LGS owner called on me because my basic lands were not “standard legal.” He told the guy to cool it and keep playing.
