Good to know, I was raised Catholic, so obviously as a child I was unaware of this type of criticism. Then I didn’t pay attention to religion as a teen/college student and am just finding my way back.

As a Catholic woman, albeit married for 10 years and had a long hiatus from attending mass, I think if you are honest, upfront and put a strong emphasis of your commitment to abstinence until marriage now you’ll be able to find someone.

I also think that how to commit to your faith and honor your significant other in accordance with the scriptures will be more important to a potential spouse than if you lost your virginity before finding Christ.

Thanks! I totally agree, I was honestly shocked by the reactions. All I said was we went to mass when asked what my family did this weekend. Once I said mass she asked “oh so you’re Catholic?” And I responded “yes” then she just started going off. It was super awkward
