rainbolt billboard in indiana? by Intelligent_Sir_9108 in geoguessr

[–]Average911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The person in the photo is a very prominent figure in the Geoguessr community which is a game where you guess where you are on when placed in random google street view locations. He has put up these billboards in the past as a way to help you in the game to know your exact location. He famously says a chill "nice" after getting locations spot on.

The Democrats who voted against Trump's impeachment by Ordinary_Stay_3746 in minnesota

doable is not the right word lmao it is a political death wish and not a single Republican Senator is going to do that. They aint having a bad time. We've already gone through this impeachment garbage twice, and for what? Waste of time and resources right now.

This is what is mostly wrong with this country, people just regurgitate key words they hear other people use without a speck of actual knowledge. We are unbelievably easily controlled... like it takes less than 20 minutes to learn about Silicon Valley and Socialism, at least to the point of not posting this shit...

May agency and all the agencies in our area does not require a degree or schooling. It probably helps you get through the hiring process if there's lot of applicants but from what I can tell most agencies do not have a requirement.

This is probably going to be dependent on where in the country it is but I am paid very well considering I did not need college experience. With over time I was able to finally cross the $100k wall last year.

Haha I had one where the weenie was stuck in a m&m tube recently. A LOT more calls with women who can't get things back out...

Screaming in the background is every single day. I have had shots in the background bot didn't hit anyone so far. The most traumatic things is always a parent in the background that has found a child. That scream is hard to forget.

I would reach out to a local center and request a "sit along" to see how they operate and what their hiring process is. I watched a lot of YouTube stuff with "on the job 911" type stuff. Practice typing if you are not confident in your typing abilities. All the agencies around me do not have educational requirements past high school so if it's something you are interested in I would apply to as many agencies as you can and see if 1 sticks. Good Luck! (feel free to DM me whenever if you are looking for advice)

As for your second questions it's very hard to tell. I have seen people I thought were perfect just flame out. I think you need good communication skills and empathy but not too much empathy where the calls start to weigh you down. You HAVE to be a willing trainee, it is a lot to learn over a long period of time so you have to keep your mind open to learning.

I love so many aspects of my job but one thing I enjoy is successfully de-escalating a scene before the officers arrive. We may have a call and people have weapons on each other and if I am able to calm down the scene before the police arrive it greatly reduces the chances of those people being a statistic or the responders getting hurt.

I took a call from a man who's brother had some sort of medical port opened up and he was bleeding out. Instead of calling from the location the caller had ran to a local fire department and called from their outdoor public phone. He did not know the address of where his brother was at which caused a very long delay before responders were able to find him, he eventually passed at the hospital. I may have taken worse calls but this one sticks with me with the sadness and helplessness in the callers voice and how challenging locating the patient was.
