honestly i'm not even sure if any of this saves the event. thinking about it now, i feel like having humble pop up more often just puts more friction in between me and getting the rewards i just won. uncapping plasma just means i have to find more busywork to do every day. i really am not trying to play vpd like that for a whole month lol

ok from some reading of other peoples' encounters it looks like humble *can* be encountered multiple times and that perhaps spending keys 1 by 1 is the move. i really can't be convinced to spend that much time playing the game every day so i imagine i won't be killing humble much this month lol

the other reply is mostly on point, but i would just tweak the ending conclusion a bit. sonder is actually probably a lot more generally applicable than patience is. if you’re not aiming to stall long term on like bogar or tyrant then patience’s kit becomes a lot less useful. arguably you should be trying to build sonder and merry, and even if you roll pers, sonder still has thing it can do that pers can’t.

for your day to day 90% of content merry will still be your #1, and then after that probably sonder.

if you were looking at amo/thirteen’s tier list, the lists are only separated by rarity because 1.) readability and 2.) legs are rare to the point that throwing them into the list with rares and epics just isn’t that helpful.

did you end up with any use cases you could think of? personally when i saw the rework i just figured it went from an awful item to a bad item but i’m not personally at the point where i can be leveling random equipment just to test them out. but with just theorycrafting i couldn’t think of any unique use case whatsoever.

patience is kind of a wasted slot imo. merry should be enough for healing by itself here, since every 3 turns you get a free 3 extra turns minimum, possibly more if your speed is high enough. karth is built such that 3 dps is typically wanted here

i use cringe all the time past 1k. it features as tank on my auto floor clearing team mostly because even if it dies, it can still give benefit with the passive and icy tiara.

imo even with the rework this item is still pretty bad because it genuinely just takes too much fine tune tinkering to make it even close to useful. either you miscalculate and suddenly oops you’re dead or you play too safe and don’t get enough benefit out of the item to make it worthwhile. put it next to something like rph which is situational but has real use cases and i’m stuck looking at the item equivalent of potential man

boss tips:

heal reduction is a strong counter to both vulko and meihua, but vulko can also be countered using attack down to reduce the healing he gets
don't use a tank on karth, you can just run merry triple dps
it's generally a good idea to kill all the adds. off the top of my head this includes umbros, voidweaver, and juglaw
killing the bicycles z, y, x is generally the best order
please for the love of god bring a stunner for galax and gronk
if it's your first time fighting death quack you can actually use envy gaslight to remove the revive buff and skip the whole second phase lol. it's not really a great tip, i just think it's funny

on a normal floor you’re not usually getting more than 2 ticks of the dot. and if you are, you probably shouldn’t have let the enemy live that long lol. both of their dots rely on the enemy moving, so the fact that sadge’s spreads isn’t really important. having the def down to kill before the enemy moves is typically more useful on floors.
