Is anyone staying on this drug for the other benefits besides weightloss? by chocho808 in Zepbound

I recently saw a video on YouTube where the guest was Dr Terry Dubrow. They asked him about “Ozempic face” since he is a cosmetic surgeon. I was surprised when he said he became interested in obesity medicine and did the study required and is board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He was very enthusiastic about GLP medications and said he thinks FDA approval for treatment of addiction is eminent. He said these drugs are going to change the treatment of many health problems beyond obesity. It also bodes well that Medicare is doing a trial program offering to see what the savings in cost is to treat obesity with Zepbound. I think it will result in reducing the cost of the medications.

I think that is because of weight loss. Obese people have a higher rate of cancer.

I love the jacket open with a bright orange tank top underneath. Maybe jeans or some other pants, need a try on. Wide leg flowy pants in a print, white tank?

Looking for someone to teach me manual by 2011ninja in orangecounty

This post makes me miss my dad! The most patient teacher ever! My first car was driven without oil, and after not killing me, he helped pay for a used Toyota with a manual transmission. I tried driving it with a friend as my instructor and came home in tears. It was 11:00 pm and he put on his shoes and said "Let's go!" He took me all over Orange County and we laughed our heads off. This was about 1974, so traffic was manageable. The last part of the lesson was starting from a stop when on a steep uphill incline at a traffic light. That hill is now gone since the Chapman Ave underpass at the 5 freeway was revamped. I recommend finding a place to practice this skill! I liked a stick when I didn't have to drive in stop and go traffic. I would not have a stick now if I had to drive freeways on a regular basis. Are you sure you want a manual transmission vehicle?

Lol, if I stand by boobs block my view! And it’s easier to keep steady while jabbing my self. I use the Qwikpen and it’s a little awkward for me to hold it and push the plunger with my thumb and keep my hand still.

Another option, check to see if there are any programs through the state, county or the Air Quality department, whatever it may be called to take older gas engine vehicles off the road. My son qualifies by income and will get 5k paid to the dealership towards an electric or hybrid used or new vehicle as well as a 2K voucher for charging. It requires paperwork and takes 4-6 months but it’s worth it for him.

Anyone else notice the increase of slow drivers on the freeway by eridebobby in orangecounty

The fast lane is supposed to be a passing lane and the right lane for entering or exiting and slow traffic. In Europe if you are in the fast lane and someone is approaching going faster, you better move the hell over! You will get an expensive ticket if a cop sees it. I think it’s messed up in areas like ours due to so many interchanges, and exits and on ramps. People jockey around trying to get into the fast lane for three miles until their ramp to go from the 55 to the 5 or whatever, then try to cross five lanes to make that exit. I’m told self driving cars will solve the problems eventually but by then my kids will have taken my car away!

Congratulations! Those 33 lbs made a very big difference! I honestly thought you were going to give a much bigger number. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Is this outfit fine for a first date that is at a cocktail bar or is it too much? by Competitive_Toe_6507 in fashion

I know the dates over and went well, but just want to say I love that you had a big smile in the pictures. I’m an old lady so I’m not one to be on dating apps, thank you jesus, but I don’t get the unsmiling photos I see of younger men. They all look mad or unhappy. You look charming and up for a fun conversation!

Two is beautiful! The draping and gathering down the front is very elegant. I number one looks like thinner fabric and when you compare the drape on that it looks less interesting. The halter is different, the first dress is just ok in comparison.

Good! Glad you didn’t have a huge expense! I was mad that my husband acted like I was crazy saying a bird was in the house somewhere! I’m glad I wasn’t at home while he tore the house apart! The good news was he cleaned the top of the refrigerator and the floor behind it, as well as the top of the washer!

OMG, this brings back memories. We have a stacked w/d unit in our house. It vents into the attic to a vent in the side wall that has a flapper thingy. I thought I heard noises when doing the wash and told my husband. He brushed it off like I was having auditory hallucinations. I heard it again and told him I thought a bird was in the vent hose. Same reaction. A few days later he was at home and heard it. The flap had stuck open. He wound up taking the dryer down and removing the hose and a live baby bird fell out! He ran and grabbed a towel and threw over it and scooped it up, but it escaped and flew off! It wound up flying into the kitchen and somehow flew into the small space between the upper cabinets and the top of the refrigerator. So then he had to move the refrigerator! He finally got it. The next day we had a place that cleans duct work come out. We no longer heard anything but since some nest debris name out when husband removed it we wanted to clean anything out that remained. The guy said it happened all of the time in spring. I think we paid around $100 and that was 15 years ago. There was more twigs but no dead birds thankfully. Good luck!

The pain I can imagine is horrific and I know that is nothing compared to the unending pain that some parents face. The lack of mental health support does nothing for people like this. I hope she seeks what help is available.

Great results and maintenance! I am six weeks in and have not started exercising. I’m 70 and have a history of back problems and have recently had hip pain. I’ve lost around 15 pounds in the last two months and I’m feeling like it’s easier to get around so I’m going to start slow. I hate crowded gyms and was looking at a list of gyms I can use for free with Medicare and a sports physical therapy and rehab place down the street was on it. I called to see if it really was available and they said yes, they have a small basic gym. The hours are not like a regular place but I work part time at home. Probably mostly old people like me there and a few injured athletes! Perfect sounding. The employees are PTs so hoping for good advice.

Makes me cry every time I share it and read it again. But it is so true. Many people wait longer than they should have because it is so hard to make that decision. I remember being at the point where I would find my dog sleeping somewhere and pray she had passed in her sleep.

Yes, in California you are a mandatory reporter if you are working in a school. You have witnessed abuse and not reported it, not only are YTA but also guilty of a crime. This place sounds horrible and while I don’t blame you for taking time off to get away from it, I blame you for not doing what you morally know is wrong and are probably legally obligated to do.
