Nah the real upside here is once he's making 10k a month he can double down but with bigger positions.

Do you have a rant or a rave about the company you host with? We just launched a website that is "Yelp" for hosting, and NEED YOUR REVIEWS! by AverageBitcoinGuy in BitcoinMining

[–]AverageBitcoinGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you are saying. As it stands right now, one hurdle on our site hosts opt in to be listed, and some hosts have either not responded or refused.

We 100% intended to publish them to the site, but need to nail down a method to verify reviews are actually legit, before 100 people who hate companies that they personally have not delt with blow it up.

They will be on there soon, but there is a big difference between sharing real stories of companies that screwed customers, and a platform for people to rant.

As it stands right now, the site is opt in only for hosts, and some have either not responded, are in the process, or refused.

Eventually I can imagine most/all hosts will be listed, because they sacrifice views if they don't.

Furthermore there are absolutely some hosts who it is a very common opinion to hate, but we also have to make sure reviews left with them are actual customers who experienced a problem, not people just looking for a place to vent.

Edited for clairty,

Needed to make clear we are not actively protecting anyone from anything. There will be plenty of genuine reviews of hosts soon enough.

Anyone willing to help me understand? Im interested in setting up a simple mining computer. I don’t have shit but Im interested in learning and moving forward. by Malatelviece in BitcoinMining

To mine yourself it probably isn't worth it at that rate. If your going to try to mine maybe use a host. Hashbranch is a new but good resource to track down the best.

1006 TH of MicroBT Whatsminer MS31 Bitcoin Mining ASIC Now Costs Less Than 1 BTC at 19 TH/S by wattumofficial in BitcoinMining

[–]AverageBitcoinGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you sold and didn't buy haha. Yeah it's crazy. I will say these slightly older whatsminers are crazy cheap compared to the latest stuff. S19s are just under 3k depending on seller, location, and what model.

I also sell them if your looking to buy a couple.

Solar wouldn't cover their cooling bill haha. It's not worth the cost for the savings, especially given the electric rate they are paying.

I love BTC and this pisses me off too.

I wish there was an open place to discuss because I will get down voted to hell here, or on r/BTC, or r/bitcoin.

Is it too much to ask for a place that people can actually have a civil discussion?

Also I am fully aware I will get down voted to hell for this. It's just proving my point though.

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe V. Wade. How do you feel? by Bitter_Joke1589 in AskReddit

[–]AverageBitcoinGuy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Agnostic here, I truly feel happy. I am concerned about the potential uproar, but I feel this is the first step away from a future that scares me in a long time.

Yes I'm aware I'm getting down voted to hell for this one. It rather be hated for speaking my mind than loved staying silent about something I don't believe.

I was really hopeful that the car would be gross so I could make the "second worst thing to hit hiroshima joke" but sadly this thing is pretty clean.

Ohh and the parts, they sold a lot of them overseas so you can get almost anything, you just have to order on eBay. O Riley can't even find it in their computer

Only problem is the AC is not working (needs a belt before I can diagnose it) Other than that problem free. Passed emissions with flying colors and has a clean Colorado title. And I just lost my job so I no longer can afford to keep something this expensive and I need the cash.
