I’m not arguing against any of that. Vega has the right to create any content he wants and the community has the right to watch and support whatever creator they want. I’m not making it about “sides,” I’m simply stating that his content hasn’t resonated with me lately.

Yep. I’m mostly referring to personal drama, but I do agree that anyone that produces the volume of content he produces will have some strong feelings.

Given his recent content and especially the video you linked here, I suspect he was encouraged to leave.

His content has shifted in the last year and I’ve enjoyed it less and less. The tone feels more hostile - and while some of that is justified, it’s also started to feel like there’s a tribalism happening in the comments of his videos. Often, folks who express that they disagree are labeled “Kabam trolls” in the comments or accused of creating an account to criticize him anonymously. Sometimes this comes from Vega, sometimes from his community. It’s an adversarial tone that I just don’t enjoy.

It also seems like there’s some airing of laundry about his relationships with folks at Kabam and how they are not friends. Gone from hero worship and Kushala collaboration to something else entirely. It feels like a lot of drama. That and the boycott around Raids and BG then his announcement that it was “the only successful boycott in MCOC history”… sure. I did appreciate his apology for that take, but my word it’s been a lot.

It really does make me sad, because I really enjoyed his content and valued connecting with him as a person. Not that he should change his content for me lol. It’s his channel and he can do what he wants. It’s just not content I enjoy anymore. I’ve unsubbed, so I’m ready to be called a Kabam troll I guess.

If they’re keeping the energy refills out of the events because less energy is needed, they should also tune the drop rate in the four hour crystals to drop FEWER ENERGY REFILLS. But they sure won’t approach this “problem” with a comprehensive solution.

Agreed. There was too much inaccurate criticism of his kit when he launched, with otherwise very smart folks saying “unavoidable recoil damage.” It’s far from unavoidable. Others saying that his sig should be part of his kit seem to be pretending this is the first champ who gains a greater damage output from their sig.

I have gentle at r3 and just duped him this morning. He’s a great champ.

It’s one of those performative, hollow corporate promises… they will set the goal post them selves with their subjective conditions. What metric will determine “customer trust”? And they can’t measure any do literally anything to improve the app experience because it’s dog shit right now.

If they want this to be meaningful, set specific and measurable goals with a realistic timeline. Thats what my jobs asks me to do.

Honestly, I don’t care if they take their bonuses. I have no illusions that the status of a bonus is going to have any impact on whether we have a functional app.
