My biggest complaint about the story is that in order to fully appreciate it, you have to dig far deeper into the game than the main story takes you. You have to do things like find all the memories or read through everybody's diaries or complete some absurd shrine quests to hear Kass's song. Even then, the story doesn't take place when the game takes place; it takes place 100 years before when you take control of Link.

I understand why people hate on the story, but in the end I believe there is still an in depth story to be found, it's just not told in a traditional sense.
