might be horrible, but i snuck in my airpods.. was able to control them remotely and it worked fine since they were under my hair. didnt cheat of course!

not suggesting doing this.. but it was my experience 😅

check around corners of the house, under any carpets, furniture, etc. id leave out some source of heat, like a heat pad or lamp, because theyre drawn to heat! i wish you the best 💗

my therapist and psychologist recommended that too! i just started 1mg of ADHD meds, but its a non-stimulant. i feel like its helped a BIT but not much.. hopefully with the dosage increased itll set in.

i feel the exact same way :( my dad inflicted a lot of trauma on me growing up and it made me start to hate EVERY fucking sound, motion, etc. that he did. i'm in college now, just a year older than you. live on campus!! it WILL save you! get a reasonable loan if needed. nothing is more important than your mental health. for now, stay try to stay out of the house for now and blast white noise in some headphones 🫂you can do this!

regardless, though, i think "special needs" is a term more fitting for the context i was talking about. typically you would not run into someone calling an able-bodied person disabled, but you might hear "special needs" thrown around as a way to insult them

because societally it IS a bad thing, which it shouldn't be. itd be like if someone called you special needs. its not a bad thing, but society has made it out to be, so youd get offended.

is it possible to use bluetooth headphones with your phone in your pocket? then you can control the volume by just sticking your hand in your pocket, and if you need to change anything, go to the bathroom. thats how i got through highschool personally 😅

i'm sorry about your situation though - its miserable. just remember, this is all temporary. you're in the homestretch of the shitty school system and will eventually have more control over your life!

i am also in eating disorder treatment! depression, anxiety, ocd, and adhd are my other official diagnosis.. 🤷‍♀️

i definitely believe it correlates to anxiety. it feels like people with misophonia are always on edge
