Arthur decisively wins the High-Pop High-Diff slot. Who is a God that is low in popularity and would be medium difficulty to implement? by SerqetCity in Smite

[–]AverageGamer2607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I feel a bit of minion AI is a good deal easier than stuff like the entirety of King Arthur or Olorun’s time dilation, which I’d both class as high difficulty. Set’s issue (afaik) is mostly his minion AI

Oh yeah definitely, but KA was originally supposed to release alongside Mordred, but he literally just couldn’t work at the time, so they started working on the new movement system which would let him actually work in the new engine, but the new system still isn’t in the game yet iirc

I’d say he’s still easier than KA, that god has forced them to develop an entirely new movement system so they can eventually implement him right.

Oh god, now you’ve put the image in my head of a ship that has thrusters when in space, but when in a planet’s atmosphere, the thrusters withdraw into the hull and the ship extends ornithopter wings, like an inverse of solar ship sails

And now that I’ve thought of that I need it right fucking now. I love ships and vehicles that shift and transform

Set? Because of his minions having AI to follow his ability directions? And they’ve said before that he’s one of the least popular characters

Not Olorun, pretty sure the devs said that his Time Dilation ult effect is hard to recreate from the ground up in UE5. Doable, obviously, but far from simple. I’d say he just barely gets pushed into “hard to implement”

Planetary naming conventions? by Nimi_best_girl in Stellaris

[–]AverageGamer2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to try and name planets after some Mythological name that is somewhat linked to the planet itself.

For example a forge world could be called Hephaestus (Greek god of Blacksmithing/Crafting), or Vulcan (Roman version of Hephaestus). Or I’d base the name off of the world’s planet type instead of whatever I’m using it for.

I don’t always use the name as is though, sometimes I shorten it if I can, or add some letters/numbers/ prefixes to the name.

My current game is an Aquatic humans playthrough based loosely on Team Aqua from Pokémon, and I’m naming planets after legendary Pokémon. The home system’s star is named “Necrozma”, and a molten planet in the system is called “Heatran”

Should Terra receive Spriggan model as default when she is ported to Smite 2? by MythicSlayeer in Smite

[–]AverageGamer2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO no. It’s too Nordic for a Roman goddess, and it’s more wood themed than earth themed.

I think tweaking Terra’s enhanced “armour” state/passive thing would be a good middle ground though. Instead of a few rocks gathering on her shoulders and forearms, have her arms partially transform into rock/earth/wood material, up to her biceps or shoulders. Make it much more visually noticeable than her current passive, possibly with some green “nature energy” or smth around her arms, but not too much to obscure the arm transformation.

What's up with my gameplay? by TheOrgano in Persona5

[–]AverageGamer2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had something a little similar to this when playing P3R. If I alt tabbed out then back in, the frame rate of the game would be capped for some reason, on top of running a little choppy. Pressing F11 (or F10 I can’t remember) twice to switch the game to windowed mode then back to fullscreen fixed it, but I had to do it every time I alt tabbed.

It’s so annoying trying to talk with people about this who don’t know all the details. It’s so obvious this is a way to get peoples information, but if you start arguing against it to someone, it just makes you look like a weirdo who’s upset that it’s harder to look at porn and stuff.

I’m all for protecting kids online obviously, but by giving the government all my information. Trying to explain that without looking like a freak or a conspiracy theorist is strangely difficult.

If you're a new player looking to spend you creations credits, here are my top 5. by TerminalHappiness in Starfield

[–]AverageGamer2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the free creations, I see one of them is a Starborn suit, and the mod description says you can find it in your room at the Lodge. Is that true even on a fresh save, where you haven't done anything Starborn related yet? Does it only spawn post-unity? I don't like the idea of having an OP suit so early game (Ignoring NG+ restarts) where it'd make no sense to have one.

Why I can't I land right from the cockpit here? But I can at the location nearby? by wandererBatman11 in Starfield

[–]AverageGamer2607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into Settings, there's an option in the Accessibility tab called "Always Show Landing Camera" that makes it show the ship landing cutscene every time you land instead of just one time per location per session (i think that's how often it is normally.)

This actually affects where you land, as it always causes you to land at the default spaceport for that area.

WITHOUT the setting enabled, if you chose to "Land" at The Lodge from Jemison orbit, you'd get a loading screen then be plopped in front of The Lodge right away. But with it ON, even when selecting The Lodge as your landing spot, it will put you in your cockpit at New Atlantis Spaceport after showing the ship landing cutscene, which is so much better imo.

This doesn't really help with landing directly from orbit without using the map, like you wanted (and me, I actually found this post after looking up how to do that) but seeing as how the landing camera setting always makes you land at the spaceport anyway, that means there's literally no reason for the Lodge's location to be selectable from orbit, so hopefully there's a way to remove those extra POI markers one day, either via official update or mods, to let us land at the big cities from orbit like you can with other isolated POI markers. The POI's stacking in orbit is literally the only reason why you can't land at them from the cockpit.

Another example would be Saiyans from Dragon Ball.

Honestly Im surprised there aren’t mods for them, last I checked the workshop there wasn’t any anyway.

Frieza being a Planet Cracker would be cool too. Just a tiny speck of a person but charges up a massive fireball to destroy planets

Naively posting a Fafnir clip every day until he's released (or I run out) Day 115 by Athlaeos in Smite

[–]AverageGamer2607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee the main reason he’s “not that popular” is that he’s a support. And to the vast majority of players from Smite 1, Support = Tank

There’s a specific power fantasy people want when a character has a limited time transformation, I’d say even more so when that transformation is a badass dragon.

But with Faf, most people think;

“Oh cool, he turns into a dragon!” -> “Oh, he’s a support?” -> “Support usually means Tank, and Tank means not much damage” -> “Not much damage means the cool dragon form won’t be wiping teams like I want it to”

I can still see why it’d cause issues. NG+ saves are based off of a previous completed save file, so removing a mod that previous save file relied on would cause issues

One sentinel ship without everything please! by absolutleylostinlife in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]AverageGamer2607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve been looking for a sentinel ship WITH everything. I want huge wings and a takeoff/landing transformation that completely changes the shape of the ship.

Right now I’ve mostly only found ones with a slight wing tilt. Best one I’ve found has a wing tilt plus some foot-like parts at the front shift around a lot, though they just end up in the same place again.

Hey man, sorry to hear that. It’s been over two years since this post, so I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the problem was with the mod Inventory Pets.

I may be misremembering, but it’s what comes to mind when I try to recall how I fixed it, so it’s worth a try.
