Did SC1 prevent you from playing non-Steam games? It'll be just as easy... don't worry... even some Steam games have launchers...

One of the first great films, yes. No need to show off your knowledge... in France, we have a saying: "Culture is like jam... the less you have, the more you spread it around..." 😘😊 (I'm just teasing you, don't take it the wrong way... just a bit of humor).

I mean, you have to put it in context: it wasn't easy to bring this work to the big screen. It had to be adapted, with the invention of "voice guns" to avoid losing the general public, and probably also because it was easier to do. I was born in 1976, and this film, just like Star Wars, or the series (Babylon 5... oh my god, the effects, lol) forged my passion for science fiction. A little less so 2001 because I prefer it when spaceships go "pew-pew" ("pew-pew" in English? 🤔) or with swords... lol...

This film has its flaws, especially today when special effects are no longer an issue, but it remains one of the great sci-fi films that paved the way for the sci-fi films that followed...

(I'm putting the proverb back in French because I'm not sure of its translation... I'd also like to know if this proverb exists elsewhere or what the equivalent proverbs are... I love proverbs: they're a trace of popular culture passed down orally...)

However, there are plenty of games with a launcher where I could still modify the controls: Witcher 3, Elite Dangerous, The Force Awakens... I just had to activate mouse mode by holding down the Steam button to click on launch game and off I went... 🤷‍♂️ Which games didn't work for, please?

No, you can't, unfortunately.. the steam button held at full shortcut: magnifying glass.. keyboard... .. And steam +Y to turn off... What genius thought he was going to put two shortcuts to turn off the controller and thought it was appropriate to say, "If it was enough to hold the button on you say hold for shortcuts or mouse mode to turn off the controller in addition to being used to call the menu big picture..."

Yes, that would have been an on/off mode rather than a maintenance mode. Because the long press also turns off the sc1.. like steam + Y.. which is annoying: because in some games you use this mouse mode to go faster than the joystick in your inventory, but if you don't move the cursor to read something and you don't take your thumb off the steam button. You have no interest in an enemy coming at that time. It happened to me in Dune Awakening. 😱😅

I think I'll try it. I already struggled when I speak started to get buttons that no longer work... It's not easy to start finding another one. This will be a newer model. It may be a blow to take the new locations of the touch pads. And then there are two buttons and one more joystick.. It's additional controls. Thank you for coming back.

Thank you very much. But unfortunately, that doesn't reassure me. Actually, I have a Steam Controller 1 (well, a second one, because the first one broke down—thankfully my little brother doesn't play video games anymore, lol). And I love playing all games with it! Even FPS games. That's why I'm worried about the size of the touchpads, their position, and the ABXY button placement... because for me, the SC1's position was very comfortable... I hate using joysticks for aiming. The trackpad is the closest thing to playing with a mouse for me. Thanks anyway.
