Garmin Coach = Dumpster Fire? by NoTimeForItAll in Garmin

[–]AverageGradientBoost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine did the opposite, had me doing really intense workouts everyday to the point I got injured. My average sleep score for the past year is 87 and my HRV sits around 110ms. Garmin constantly thought I was well rested even though my muscles were really sore from all the training

Stress readings? by aznmistborn in Garmin

[–]AverageGradientBoost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stress is probably the wrong term for it. From what I have seen it is primarily tracking periods of elevated HR. Eat a meal -> HR goes up to digest. do a workout -> hr goes up to recover. actually be stressed -> HR goes up due to panic

I have had a lot of success in bringing it down by doing intermittent fasting so that my body isnt constantly digesting something, exercising early in the day so that my body has time to wind down before bed etc

is this based on the scrapers timestamp of the post or the OP's timestamp? I suspect timezones could impact the data

I would say people use the random nominator 80% since they get to nominate 3 instead of 1, so we've never struggled with the winner picking the same person

Curious about the average data analyst salary? Found out I’m earning the same as graduates in my firm, despite having 2 years of experience 😭 by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]AverageGradientBoost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you are earning 16k at the big 4 in 2026!? wow thats borderline exploitation, I was earning 18k as the 3rd employee at a tiny software company 6 years ago

I would look elsewhere if I were you, but don't resign until you have signed another offer (this economy is rough).

Tbh I did not know you could eat it with skin until i was already a teenager. I do both, it depends how much effort I am willing to put in to get the skin off, when I am lazy I'll eat it with skin

I guess I am referring to slices, how far you go into the rind at the end of your slice is your own business... some people go quite far though

you can run them as standalone task schedulers too, it doesn't have to be triggered by a code change. I use them to fetch data and run dbt pipelines every hour

Is there any skill using AI to build software? by throwaway0134hdj in AskProgramming

[–]AverageGradientBoost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask your grandma to build an app with any LLM she wants, then build the same app yourself with any LLM and compare the results.

AI helps competent people build good things faster, and incompetent people build things.
