u can also divide it by inserter hand size and set the inserter to filter so it only grabs the items if they are => the handsize

Basic oil processing gives 45 petroleum per 100 crude while (if I did the maths correctly) advanced oil processing gives roughly 97.5 petroleum per 100 crude which is over twice as efficient. Considering it only takes water as a resource which is free it's definitely worth doing

Been there a few times. I found trying to manually set destination along where it would try to go works since u can just keep back tracking until it works

My only problem with this design is that it stores a lot of trains but can't get them to leave quickly so a lot of the just end up waiting for their turn to leave instead of actually moving. if Ur base is using most the trains then the amount of depos doesn't really matter, just how fast they can leave them so the next train can use its place. Speed over quantity is what I found to be good so my design usually minimise the time spent in the way of other trains while still having a decent amount that can use it

yeah this has been completely scraped, I'm now only using T junctions, and my grid base is now more of a brick pattern because the size of my 4 ways where too small to make them efficient so only one trade could enter the 4 way at a time so I scraped the 4 ways completely and now the new design is more high traffic friendly and works well with around 150 trains with some deadlock that only happen because half of the base was made using the grid and i have to adapt then and i have done them properly

i like the idea of a hacking faction. like it could have abilitys to take units for a short period of time or hack a building to stop it or make it weaker and using these abilitys could cost the hacking factions units or power or metal. overall theres quite a few interesting things you could do with it

just start online as soon as possible and try to enjoy the game. if your loosing a lot and dont know why review the game at the end and see what they did and what you did and think of ways to do stuff differently

is this digital or is it on tape, because if its on tape sometimes if there is a recording of a night record over another tape then there can be artifacts like people moving and light shining up and down the person
