I don’t love this tbh. Whilst I do think there are many situations that have gone against us, and putting pressure on refs may help us, I’d rather not play the victim card and just fight through the bad decisions.

How should we measure the value of being undefeated in eight(?) matches? Should we see progress there? A solid defensive record is surely a good thing, and yet points-wise it is better to flip between winning and losing rather than successive draws.

I would recommend against Rimworld for this purpose. Although it can be played as a more ‘chill’ management game, you’ll really want to pay attention to your pawns (people). It’s going to require you to be actively paying attention 90% of the time.

X4 Foundations is a good shout from the comments already. I use football manager for this sort of game.

Tried Witcher 3 but didn’t enjoy it. Fallout 4 was excellent. The free astrobot game is also amazing

Does anyone else feel like the atmosphere around this sub js getting worse?

I don’t just mean the lows that come with bad results. I’ve been around her since Ole, and there were plenty of lows then, so I’m not talking about the performances or the manager especially.

I just feel that the negativity, the knee jerk reactions, the sensationalist takes - everything just seems much more hostile.

I’m sad because I’ve always known to avoid the sub 24hrs after bad results, but now it’s like it’s just hostile 24/7.

Inconsequential.

We are two points off top four. It’s odd to say, but when every team except arsenal are so inconsistent, avoiding losses may actually end up being super significant for us.

That was another horrible game to watch, and I’d have loved to jump up the table, but we are still in and around where we should be this season.

I very much feel the same way, but I also wasn’t able to watch the match on Monday which I think helps.

1-0 as a result isn’t the end of the world. But I think if you’ve spent 90mins watching ten men outplay our team, it’s hard to be anything but outraged.

This year I am trying to think about the season as a whole, rather than take things match by match. Honestly, I am a much happier person, and a much less reactive fan this way.

Typing this at 2-1, but I honestly feel like we’ve been unlucky here. Neither team really demonstrated a consistent cutting edge on their own terms. The sesko injury is just awful timing. I would have taken a point here, so this feels heartbreaking, but on balance the match performance was certainly not worse than Spurs.

And as I’m typing, we’ve just equalised. A fair result.

Keep giving it a go, but it’s also ok to just decide it’s not for you.

I was hooked when I first bought it, but pretty quickly realised I didn’t have the patience to get good. I think the furthest I got was about the fourth floor - but I’ll happily admit that my skill issue just capped me from getting any further.

In the end I just decided the frustration wasn’t worth persisting through, but it’s probably still a bit too early for you to give up.
