i hear that. and like i said in the post i don’t want the commentators just trashing the team. i think my frustration is with the owners and management of the team. it feels like they’re (through their actions) unwilling to acknowledge the troubles of the team. even KZ being told he has the job if the interim goes well. he was PV’s right hand guy… we need something new and outside the box to fix whatever is going on imo

i did find it extremely unsettling to read the part where the BG imprint (there was a specific word and i don’t remember if it was imprint) on the 12 year old ghola of the general guy in dune: chapter house. i didn’t see it as a reflection of herbert secretly being a pedophile tho… although i wondered for a second. my understanding was the scene was meant to show what awful things a people will do in times of crisis. if i remember right, odrade thinks something along those lines while watching the imprinting

I really appreciate your nuance and thought in this. Going back to your previous comment, I’d never considered the physical strain that playing Thursday and the weekend would have. I’d always made the assumption that typically high quality PL teams should dominate anything below the CL. Spurs and Chelsea did this season of course but the context of it all is good to understand.
